    Job Purpose

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Community Sensitization Meetings

    Conduct Chlorine Dispenser awareness meetings with community members through appropriate forums such as schools, chief barazas, community health meetings etc
    Refresher training to dispenser promoters and community on Dispenser usage and health benefits.

    Data Management

    Collect data from program water points with Chlorine Dispensers, community members, promoters etc. and submission using ODK
    Performing data checks (both hard and soft copies), back checks and providing immediate/future remedies/suggestions
    Working with data trackers at the office level in collaboration with the area coordinator and the field leads in charge

    Planning Field Activities

    Work closely with the area coordinator/associate coordinator in developing weekly/ monthly work plans for community service assistants.
    Organize required logistical support such as transport, vehicle/motorbike fueling and other necessary fields tools/materials such as surveys etc.
    Other assignments as allocated by the supervisor.

    Requirements
    Qualifications

    Minimum Diploma in Management, Community work (social/health), Project planning & management or equivalent.
    Computer Literacy is a requirement
    Motorcycle riding experience with a valid driving license from a recognized driving school will be an added advantage.
    The applicants should be able to communicate well in English, Kiswahili
    Should have finished school not more than a year as of the date of the advertisement.

    Scholarships and practical conditions

    The traineeship lasts for six months, starting in September 2023.
    The trainee scheme is unpaid, but the trainee receives a stipend which currently amounts to NOK 14,000 per month. The scholarship can be combined with support from Lånekassen. The intern must cover his own travel and living expenses, and is himself responsible for obtaining accommodation. 
    Applicants must be prepared that changes in the Travel Council for Kenya may result in the offer of internships having to be withdrawn. Any expenses incurred prior to joining will not be covered in such situations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Support with the formatting/design/branding of specific NRC advocacy products (eg: briefing notes, policy memos, etc)
    Support with MoU drafting, OAT processes and the preparation of Notes for File and Framework Agreements with unique partnerships
    Assist with organising advocacy meetings at the Country Office in liaison with NRC field staff, including setting up meetings, researching targets and helping with follow up – including with the National Government and County Government Offices
    Provide support in the form of note-taking, monitoring, reporting, etc. ahead of, during and after specific occasions (e.g.: summits, pledging/advocacy events, etc) 
    Support research and analysis initiatives related to NRC advocacy work 
    Support archiving, filing and categorisation of NRC policy, advocacy, media and communication initiatives
    Support partners with NRC’s urban programming ambitions around legal protection interventions

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Responsibilities

    Under the overall supervision of the Human Settlements Officer (HSO) at the Regional Office for Africa, and in collaboration with the Urban Resilience Programme Specialists of the team, the Urban Resilience Programme Support Intern will:
