    Job Description

    Experience: Minimum 5+ years
    Responsibilities

    Produce road layouts using surveying instruments and tools.
    Establish lines and grades within the construction site by performing construction surveys.
    Perform daily record keeping of work performed on a daily basis and share the records with the Projects Department.
    Provide topographic surveys of construction site areas.
    Review construction design to ensure proper quantities, dimensions, and overall completeness.
    Provide calculations and records in support of all survey activities.
    Lead others in the survey work and make survey computations.
    Carry out inspections to ensure that proper compliance with construction specifications is adhered to.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with/or Diploma in Road Surveying in any Professionally Certified Institute.
    Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the Roads & Infrastructure field.
    Good written and Oral skills.
    Computer literate. Strong communication skills and professional appearance.
    Excellent leadership, motivational and presentation skills.
    Works well under pressure and able to be up to the deadlines.

    Atkins Africa is currently looking for an experienced Engineer in Water and Sanitation to form part of our project team based in Kenya.
    Duties And Responsibilities

    Carry out engineering design related to the area of academic qualification.
    Conduct Surveys and site investigations to gather field data and design information.
    Perform project management and coordination roles.
    Perform construction site supervision, contract administration and management of project issues.
    Coordinate the activities of the design and construction teams including multi disciplinary project inputs to ensure quality of work and timely delivery of projects.
    Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules.
    Prepare and manage project reports and documents.
    Prepare and administer project tender and contract documents.
    Liaise with external project team members including the Client and attend meetings.
    Carry out Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC), implement and ensure Quality Management System (QMS) is adhered to on projects.
    Prepare bid documents for projects and assist in carrying out contract negotiations.
    Marketing and business development of the service line and the company in general as directed by the SLM.

    Qualifications
    Academic
    Bachelors and/or Master of Science (MSC) in the relevant engineering discipline
    Professional

    Registration with relevant engineering bodies, and with ERB as a Registered Engineer.
    Membership in Professional Societies

    Required Experience
    Must have minimum 5-10 years or relevant experience in the area of specialization
    Relevant Skills

    Use of computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and Ms Project.
    Possess expertise in relevant engineering software and applications.
    Engineering design, drawing preparation and checking skills.
    People skills including interpersonal, mentoring, motivating, negotiation, delegation and control, communication and presentation skills

    Overall Purpose of the Position

    Key Performance Areas

    Key Competencies

    Age 35 – 40 years with proven track record and working knowledge in manufacturing industry
    Good communication and Interpersonal skills

    Requirements

    Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
    Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
    Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
    Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
    Maintain current electrician’s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
    Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
    Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
    Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.

    Qualifications

    4-6 years of experience preferably with direct experience in electrical installation in a briquetting plant.
    Detail oriented
    Ability to learn a technical product, work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize and multi-task.
    Ability to work under minimal supervision.
    Diploma in (Electrical & Electronic, Technology, renewable energy, mechanical or related) from an accredited institution.

    Consistently checking on premise’s electricity meter readings and tallying them with actual bills; and
    Performing any other duties assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

    Certificate in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution; or
    KCSE grade C- (Minus) or its equivalent; and
    At least three (5) years working experience in hospitality industry.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform repair works on the affected system or component to ensure functionality. Responsible for performing planned maintenance, regular service of chillers & freezers. Troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of refrigeration systems.
    Performing root cause analysis on refrigeration equipment failures to prevent reoccurrence. Provide technical direction on preventative maintenance for all refrigeration.
