    Job summary

    We are looking for a dynamic, highly talented, motivated, and resourceful candidate to fill in the Machine Operator Position

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    To clean & sanitize the filling equipment/machine as per set SOPs.
    To have the supervisor inspect the cleaned & sanitized equipment and place a ‘clean’ status sticker after approval.
    To replace the ‘clean’ status sticker on the equipment with the ‘in use’ sticker giving details of the product being filled.
    Ensure product packaging components are appropriately coded as per batch release notes.
    To inform the QA inspector when all is ready for approval before filling.
    To fill the product maintaining right weights as per QA standard reference.
    Ensure adherence to GMP, QMS and SOPs.
    Clean and sanitize cleaning equipment after process.
    Meet set line targets.
    Ensure smooth flow of lines with minimal downtimes
    Avoid generation of waste by doing right thing first.
    Any unavoidable waste generated should be segregated and put in the respective waste bin.
    Use all the safety gears/PPE’s as required.
    Comply with all OHS/EHS stipulated rules/Regulations.
    Attend and participate in daily safety briefings.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Diploma in mechanical Engineering and above
    Training related to production will be an added advantage

    Duties

    The incumbent reports directly to the Building Engineer Supervisor.  The position holder is employed as a Trades Helper to assist the technicians of the skilled trades in the performance of routine and preventive maintenance, and new installations and demolition work.  The Building Engineer Supervisor will assign the incumbent to any of the skilled trade shops on a daily basis to assist the skilled technicians with maintenance and repair work throughout the Embassy Compound (NEC) office buildings, grounds and residential owned/leased properties.  In addition to assisting the skilled trade technicians, the incumbent may be assigned tasks include material handling, painting, custodial type work, snow removal, common laborer work, and  grounds maintenance and gardening work.  

    EXPERIENCE: 

    A minimum of two (2) years of maintenance or construction semi-skilled work experience in skilled trades such as mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing), electrical, carpentry, with significant focus on building systems

    The Maintenance Technician operates within a production / technical department, with a focus on execution of preventive and corrective maintenance. The main purpose of the job of a Maintenance Technician is tprevent any malfunction of the equipment, apparatus, machinery or systems that are used in the production process.  
    The Maintenance Technician may alssupport other facilities than production, such as R&D laboratories, office facilities as well as technical buildings (utilities) and systems for logistics and storage.     The job may be limited tone single technical discipline (such as construction, mechanical, rotating, electrical), or may be more skilled sthat apart from one major technical discipline, the Maintenance Technician is able tdeal with issues in related technical areas.     Job Description: 

    Inspections and preventive / planned maintenance:

    Checks and assesses the condition of handling equipment, pneumatic and/or mechanical/electrical, reception and silinstallations, grinding, mixing and pressing lines, bag filling, feed and / or fertilizer, bulk loading and weighbridges, on the basis of maintenance schedules / checklists
    Restores (imminent) defects and performs corrective maintenance activities arising from inspections (according tschedule)
    Signals tthe superior (potential) flaws with details of the nature and severity, proposes solutions tavoid (future or recurring) problems with the fun tioning of (parts) of equipment / machinery / transport systems.
    Orders / polls spare parts and materials for maintenance
    Works on planned maintenance activities of more extensive and / or complex nature (i.e. during maintenance stops), and may supervise technicians of third parties.

    Malfunctions and defects / repairs:

    Troubleshoots malfunctions and defect in equipment, machinery, measuring and control systems and other parts of the installation
    Assesses the nature and extent of the problem and determines whether instantly repair is necessary or possible, assesses any fault causes and potential solutions
    Performs emergency repairs, disassembles (parts of) equipment / machinery and makes necessary repairs / changes tthe equipment, if necessary in consultation with the supervisor
    Performs more extensive repairs at scheduled times and based on prepared planning and instructions (disassembly / assembly, parts replacement, set / adjust parts)
    Works with colleagues at jobs of more extensive and / or complex nature. May supervise technicians of third parties.

    Modifications and improvements:

    Carries out modifications and overhaul work based on work orders and / or instructions from supervisor
    Proposals improvements in equipment, machinery and other areas based on expertise and experience in maintenance
    Consults with management on quality issues, technical issues / problems, etc.

    Reporting:

    Logs all maintenance activities in the appropriate maintenance management systems in order thave a complete administration and insight in the state and history of all equipment, files all technical data

    Job Description

    Reporting to the Cluster Director of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service. 
    Reports to the Senior Technician Electrical/Maintenance Supervisor, 
    Signs in the Engineering log book, and attends briefing. 
    Repair and maintain all electrical and related items, – e.g. motors, switchgear, cabling etc. 
    Repair and maintain all lights, lamps and associated fittings. 
    Repair and maintain electric/electronic controls. 
    Co-ordinate the repair and maintenance to TV’s, sound systems, radios and lighting etc. 
    Repair and maintain other items as designated by Chief Engineer 
    Install and Manufacture new electrical and related items as assigned by the Chief Engineer.  
     Report all difficulties/shortcomings requests to Chief Engineer or Supervisor as appropriate. 
    Repair and maintain all electrical parts of machinery – e.g. kitchen and laundry equipment etc. 
    Provide necessary back up to Banquet Department, fixing and coordinating temporary installations of all types including sound systems, lighting, general maintenance/engineering support. 
    To ensure that preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment are followed. 
    Identify equipment or installations that require maintenance and bring such to the attention of the Supervisor.  
    Maintain electrical jobs record and logs as needed. 
    Regular maintenance of electrical equipment as per list/checklist provided.  
    Inspect and service electric controls, circuits and panels periodically. 
    Ensure that all areas are inspected as per the provided checklist and correct information reflected.  
    Ensure that bulbs are replaced in guest rooms and public areas as indicated in checklists.  
    Ensure that all maintenance requests related to electrical section are handled daily with all guest requests being given first priority. 
    Work with the other supervisors in other departments in resolving guests’ complaints and other Engineering related tasks. 
    Cary out minor electrical installation within the building.
