    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    LTWP seeks to hire an Auto Electrician who shall be responsible for repair and overhaul of the electrical systems in vehicles and equipment. Shall also be responsible for installing, maintaining, identifying faults and repairing electrical wiring and computer-based equipment in vehicles and other equipment’s.

    Performing electronic diagnostics on cars and other vehicles to identify faults.
    Repairing electrical and electronic faults in cars and motor vehicles, replacing damaged/faulty parts where necessary.
    Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on vehicles and machinery to function correctly.
    Ensuring correct grounding of workshop equipment
    Performing checks and tests to verify the success of repair works.
    Completing job reports and processing paperwork.
    To support the behaviour of working provided by LTWP, sharing best practice, and collaborating with colleagues outside of your sphere of business
    To ensure full participation in the Performance Appraisal Review (PAR) process and maintain an up-to-date record of all training and development activities/programs.
    To always act and behave in a way compliant with all LTWP company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to values and behaviors, environmental health and safety, ethics and codes of conduct, as it is through living our values that we strengthen the culture of our business and demonstrate our understanding of our Code of Conduct; and,

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Trade test certificate or equivalent
    Three (3) years of relevant experience in operation and maintenance.
    Auto electrical and mechanical knowledge
    Knowledge of diagnostics tools for vehicle electrical and electronics.
    Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics and circuit diagrams.
    Ability to repair electrical wiring in a range of vehicles and machineries.
    Must be able to work on a rotation basis of 5-weeks on and 2-weeks off.

    You will be responsible for the effective management of all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel. As a Head of Department, you will also play a pivotal role in the development of the engineering team and staying abreast of compliance regulations and procedures in the field of Engineering, as required for hotel standards.

    Responsibilities

    Property maintenance and assisting with capital projects
    Lead the team in the day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations
    Liaise with rooms division to coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities for guest rooms and public areas

    PERSON SPECIFICATION:

    3 years’ experience in a similar position in a 4- or 5-star hotel
    Knowledge of VRV/Split AC, Kitchen and laundry equipment, boilers and building maintenance.
    Experience in energy saving initiatives
    Proficient in MS Office
    Excellent organization and communication skills
    Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and knowledge of
    Refrigeration and Air conditioning.

    At the same time, the global programme management services ensure that the Executive Committee receives timely, accurate, relevant and high-quality project proposals, financial and substantive reports, and information about the implementation of actions on the ground. At the 93rd ExCom and in line with the request of the Government of Kenya submitted through UNEP as lead implementing agency, ExCom approved funds for the preparation of the KIP of Kenya. With the objective of establishing the basis for the preparation of the KIP, UNEP requires a consultant to guide the conducting of national HFCs surveys and preparation of the KIP project in Kenya UNEP’s Business Plan for the years of 2023-2025 (UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/91/25) is endorsed by the ExCom-91.
    Through the activities identified in this Business Plan, UNEP will assist the countries with implementing their HCFC phase-out responsibilities including preparing for the 2025 target and the total phase out, strengthening the government institutions in Article 5 countries responsible for implementing and reporting on their national strategies to comply with the Montreal Protocol, and sustaining Article 5 countries’ compliance with ozone depleting substance (ODS) phase out targets already met. The project services include preparation and implementation of HCFC Phase out Management Plans (HPMPs) Stages I, II, and III, Institutional Strengthening projects, preparation of KIP (HFC) phase down plans, and other technical assistant programmes.
    In this regard, the OzonAction expects the submission of very complex projects to ExCom-95 (a peak load for submissions). Therefore, the OzonAction requires support by a consultant to provide the technical assistance during national HFC surveys, drafting of survey reports, drafting of KIP project and during projects review process for complying with ExCom guidelines/policies.
    This position is home-based. During the assignment, the consultant will work under the direct supervision of the Montreal Protocol Regional Network Coordinator of Anglophone Network of Ozone Officers.

    Qualifications/special skills

    Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in engineering or environmental science or related area is required.
    A first university degree with a combination of two years professional and academic qualifications may be accepted in lieu of the advance degree.
    A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in engineering, environmental science, or related field Knowledge of technical issues of ozone depleting substances, experience in the implementation of Montreal Protocol activities and experience in data collection, review and management of HFCs or related substances is an added advantage

    Perform code and release management using GIT, CI/CD and DevOps processes with automated unit tests and code coverage for application codebases.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in business/technology related field.
    2 to 5 years of experience automating using UI path or Power Automate technologies.
    2 to 5 years of experience in Banking Operations is an added advantage.

    Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment.

    Competencies:

    Education:

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (with strong experience in renewable energy systems).

    Experience:

    Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and engineering renewable energy systems, with at least 5 years in Solar +BESS+ Diesel/Gas hybrid installations and MV/LV distribution networks.
    Extensive experience in design management and leading engineering teams, preferably in the C&I and mini-grid sectors.
    Proven experience managing design processes for projects ranging from 500 kWp to 10 MWp.

    Skills:

    Deep knowledge of Solar +BESS+ Diesel/Gas hybrid installations and MV/LV distribution networks design.
    Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, etc.).
