    Duties and Responsibilities

    Be punctual for school and lessons.
    Attend assemblies and register children as and when required.
    Plan schemes of work and prepare lessons.
    Set homework in accordance with laid down policy.
    Mark work done by the children on time and in line with policy
    Set exams and tests as necessary and monitor the progress of children.
    Attend staff meetings and in service training out of working hours as directed by line manager.
    Supervise children in and out of lessons.
    Accept a reasonable and prescribed number of school duties outside the normal teaching hours.
    Participate in the school’s program of extra-curricular activities by running club/activity programs.
    Take an interest in the pastoral welfare of children and bring to the notice of the Head teacher, children with particular issues.
    Plan ahead the needs of his/her teaching subjects; provide the school with the lists of resources required and their costs.  Must be digital and done for every lesson taught.
    Supervise discipline and standards of behavior and dress within the school by maintaining a high standard and setting a personal example in all these matters.
    Write reports and submit by deadlines given and provide assessment on pupils.
    Assist in the preparation and marking as necessary with entrance examinations, yearly examinations and external examinations held in the school.
    Hand over all books, keys and records as and when required by the school.
    Undertake a mentoring or training role in the training of other teachers.
    Lead in-service sessions within the fields of teacher specialization or particular expertise.
    Be involved in the performance management process as directed by the school.
    If in a position of responsibility, perform in accordance duties as per a specific job description pertaining to the position.
    Assist with in-service training as required and within your capability.
    To attend residential off site trips based on form tutors, subject teachers or other staff. (based on rotation)
    In addition to the duties specified above, your duties will also include any reasonable task within your capability and that may be assigned to you by your Head Teacher.

    Skills and Qualifications

    Minimum of 7 years work experience in the same or similar position
    Degree  in computer science or related field

    About The Role

    Key responsibilities for the role include:

    Tech Asset Management and Team Professional Development

    Managing the check in and out process of all students and staff laptops and maintain an accurate inventory record of the school equipment
    Managing and tracking the IT/Tech assets while ensuring safe storage.
    Keeping an up to date inventory of the IT/Tech assets.
    Conducting teacher PD on tech assets termly.
    Ensure all teachers sign the asset management document and ensure safe storage of the paperwork.
    Collect classroom tech assets from class teachers at the end of every term.
    Attending teacher PD on a regular basis.
    Creating and running professional development experiences for teammates on tech.
    Run tech capacity building training sessions for different functions at the school (academic and non-academic) at least termly to enhance their job productivity.

    Tech Maintenance and Troubleshooting

    Ensuring the functionality of student and staff laptops by carrying out regular preventative maintenance, basic repairs and software configuration such as Microsoft Office, OS updates, etc. If the nature of a repair is outside of the tech coordinator’s ability to repair, the tech coordinator will be responsible for liaising with an outside repair service to ensure the device is repaired.
    Performing weekly maintenance and set up checks of all centrally used tech resources in the school such as, but not limited to, laptops, extension cables, projectors, computer labs (if applicable), tablets in the RAZ Room (if applicable) and Library (if applicable) to ensure they are in perfect working condition.
    Receiving technicians from contract service providers as needed to carry out maintenance or repair tasks.
    Ensuring all classrooms are set up with functional classroom projectors, speakers and HDMI cables.
    Troubleshooting the classroom projectors, speakers, HDMI failures. Ensuring any such issues are resolved proactively and to constantly keep the affected stakeholders updated on the issues and progress made in resolving them.

    Conduct innovative sessions, potential sessions HTML/CSS and game development.
    Ensuring proper setup or software and hardware and helping facilitate all schools online testing platforms. Ex: NWEA, MAP
    Ensure proper set up of school programs and support teachers in managing learning programs: Example:mRAZ Kids, Exploration Tech, Mathletics, etc.
    Working with the Dean Development Lead to lead the schools generation of all learners’ report card pdfs test versions and sharing with concerned teachers to enable them resolve any gaps before they are published to families at the end of each term.
    Support academic teams with Tech needs for school events – parent, student and teacher events (Microphone, PA system, etc.)

    About You
    Skills and Qualifications required:

    You have a diploma/degree in an IT related field
    You have a minimum of 2 years technical experience, experience in IT support is an added advantage.

    FCA is training 150 youth in professional Creative industry-skills during May to October 2022. Training will take place in Eastlands, Nairobi. We are looking for a web design trainer to design and conduct basic level graphic design training in three 5 Week periods. The trainer will cooperate closely with team of other trainers and monitor and evaluate student´s progress.
    KEY RESULT AREAS

    Qualifications and Experience

    Work closely with the AKF education team to manage real-time data collection, analysis, and feedback to multiple education stakeholders.

    Collaborate with the Learning and Assessment partners to track the programme activities and design processes in schools and maintain a database on the outputs for each phase of the process
    Lead internal professional development of staff to enable effective utilisation of AKF data platforms to be implemented across all AKF education programmes.
    Take lead in integrating new knowledge into programme implementation for education programming.
    Propose, develop and/or adapt data maintenance software and resources for use.
    Ensure all project funds are fully accounted for and liquidation is done in a timely manner to enable timely reporting.
    Engage and coordinate key partners, including the County Statistics department, at County level on data needs to ensure effective collection and management of data.
    Ensure project learning is effectively communicated through the internal and external feedback loops and that key partners have access to and understand the learning.
    Effectively engage AKF teams on learning opportunities to develop professional and technical understanding of data in education and Human Centred Design.
    Work closely with the MERL coordinator to continuously support the M&E functions for Schools2030.

    Key qualifications and experience

    Relevant undergraduate qualification including, Statistics, Economics, Social studies, Computer Science, Demography, Geography.
    Minimum 3 years of experience of working in ICT enabled data management systems to drive organisational and system learning.
    Ability to design Result Measurement Frameworks, Data Collection Tools, Sampling Methods and Quantitative/Qualitative Data Analysis is required.
    Knowledge of online and offline, open-source data collection tools and approaches and or database environment and/or project management software.
    Relevant experience working in education programming and international development an added advantage.
    Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
