    Description of the requested services

    FCA KECO is seeking a qualified digital skills trainer for 2 months in Kakuma to conduct basic digital skills training to empower project participants with knowledge and skills to navigate through various digital platforms for marketing, record keeping, access to finance, networking, and information.

    Objectives & Deliverables

    Develop and deliver comprehensive training modules covering basic digital skills tailored to the needs of project participants.
    Facilitate interactive training sessions to ensure active engagement and effective learning outcomes.
    Provide hands-on guidance and support to participants in navigating digital platforms for marketing, record-keeping, financial access, networking, and information retrieval.
    Assess the progress of participants and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.

    Skills and qualifications required

    Bachelor’s degree or higher training in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Digital Marketing, Education, etc.).
    Proven experience in conducting digital skills training sessions, preferably in a project-based setting.
    Strong understanding of various digital platforms and tools used for marketing, record-keeping, financial access, networking, and information retrieval.
    Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
    Demonstrated passion for empowering individuals through digital literacy and skills development.
    Fluency in English and Kiswahili languages, both written and verbal.
    Prior experience working in humanitarian or development projects is an advantage.

    The purpose of this position is aimed at overseeing and enhancing the efficiency of library operations at the University. As a member of the academic team, he/she will lead the library in collection development, user instruction and literacy, participates in research and information services and serves as the key library contact.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Providing leadership and direction to library staff, ensuring adherence to library policies and procedures, and promoting a positive work environment.
    Overseeing the cataloging of new receipts and established collection as well as classifying and tracking media throughout campus on an as-needed basis.
    Writing grants to gain funding for expanded program or collections
    Leading, monitoring and overseeing the provision of all print and E-resources for the university in line with library service standards.
    Monitoring availability and accessibility, to ensure that the full range of subscribed E-resources are available to users, both on and off campus and work with service providers and suppliers to resolve any access and availability issues.
    Collaborating with IT staff to ensure the effective integration of technology into library services, including managing library systems, databases, and online resources.
    Participating in the development and implementation of library policies and procedures, including those related to collection management, access, and user services.
    Responsible for planning and implementing of the Library budget.
    Any other duty assigned by your supervisor.

    Minimum qualifications

    Masters of Library and Information Science/ Information Technology or in the relevant field from a recognized/accredited University in the relevant field
    Bachelor of Library and Information Science/ Information Technology or in the relevant field from a recognized/accredited University.
    At least five (5) years’ experience as a Librarian.
    A minimum of one article in peer reviewed journal.
    Be a member in good standing of a relevant professional body.

    Must be accredited and licensed by TVET Authority or registrable by TVETA; and
    Be a member of a relevant professional body (where applicable).

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-

    Undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;
    Preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;
    Setting and marking examination/assignment;
    Carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer; and

    What You Have

    At least 2 years experience in instructional design and delivering a soft skills program.
    Thorough knowledge of instructional design models and processes for example Addie, SAM, and Backward Design.
    Comprehensive knowledge of methods and techniques in planning, designing, and developing instructional content.
    Exemplary in facilitating live learning events in face-to-face and/or virtual environments.
    Proficient in recognizing individual students’ learning needs and developing strategies to meet those needs.
    Proficient in using multiple student data elements to modify instruction and improve learning.
    Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
