    Job Purpose:
    To be responsible for creating a flexible elementary grade program and a class environment favourable to learning and personal growth; this is aimed at ultimately developing a generation of strong, ethical, community centred female leaders of tomorrow.
    Key Responsibilities and Job Dimensions

    Teach both theory and practical ICT to students.
    Develop lesson plans and instructional materials.
    Provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
    Create and use variety of instruction strategies,
    Translate lesson plans into learning experiences.
    Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
    Evaluate students’ academic and social growth.
    Prepare progress reports and keep records.
    Communicate with parents on students’ progress.
    Interpret the school program.
    Coordinate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
    Create an effective environment for learning.
    Select and requisition books and instructional aids.
    Maintain required inventory records.
    Supervise students in and out-of-classroom activities during the school day.
    Administer group standardized tests in accordance with school and national testing program.
    Participate in curriculum development programs as required.
    Participate in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities.

    Academic Qualifications
    Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Education with ICT Major or P1 with strong ICT teaching experience
    Professional Qualifications
    Knowledge of STEM Curriculum will be an added advantage

    At least three years of ICT teaching experience
    Proven ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a diverse team of teachers
    Should have ability to design ICT Curriculum
    Knowledge of STEM Curriculum will be an added advantage

    Education Technology (EdTech) Assistant

    Responsibilities
    Primary responsibilities

    Oversee training, coaching and on-going support of teachers to improve instructional practices 

    Work with the IT officer and other Digital learning service providers to ensure equipment and software are up to date.

    Keep an up-to-date inventory of all digital learning equipment in schools

    Support data collection and management for research and needs assessment

    Training; Provide regular training for new and current members of staff for new and existing applications.

    Ensure data and system integrity by setting up and administrating ICT security systems: anti-virus, backup routines, access controls, firewall and physical security.

    Maintain necessary documentation for system maintenance and follow up appropriate maintenance contracts for all ICT equipment.

    Enhance office IT system through appropriate upgrades and advise Operations Unit on changes or improvements required.

    Oversight of teacher education interventions 

    Oversee the initial training of learning of teachers, as well as their continuous professional development.  

    Monitor progress towards the objectives and intended outputs pertaining to teacher education using routine data, spot checks, observation, and other methodologies. 

    Provide regular written and verbal reports on education activities to the supervisor and senior management, project partners and donors.

    Promote the quality of teacher education activities by setting up quality assurance mechanisms and checks in collaboration with other staff. 

    Qualifications

    University degree in Education in IT; advanced degree preferred.

    Good knowledge and understanding of a range of technologies to support learning and teaching including e-portfolios, plagiarism detection platforms and content authoring software.

    A good understanding of current developments in Learning and Teaching especially regarding the use of technology

    Demonstrable knowledge of online learning design and development.

    Up to date knowledge of best practices in accessibility, user-centred, universal and mobile learning platforms and resources.

    Ability to quickly learn new technologies and evaluate their potential in terms of application to learning and teaching

    At least three years of relevant professional experience with an international or civil society organization, including direct implementation of education technology programming, experience related to teacher professional development.

    Strong verbal communication skills and effective in representation and liaison with external actors

    Excellent spoken and technical writing ability in English, including report writing

    Good computer skills in programs including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    Ability to work under pressure in challenging working and living conditions

    Personal Attribute

    Ability to communicate and maintain highly professionalism

    Good interpersonal skills, with ability to explain computer and IT concepts to staff who may have very basic IT knowledge.

    Able to effectively manage, operate, repair and maintain PC and local office hardware and software applications.

    Able to set up and manage internet routers, Wi-Fi access points, printers, projectors, scanners.

    Ability to prioritize, organize and manage a large and diverse workload under pressure.

    Ability to work and contribute as a team member in systems implementations.

    Willingness to work outside regular office hours including weekends when needed

    Role
    The Trainer is responsible for delivering training on Oracle databases.
    Reporting: The Trainer shall report to the Education Manager.
    Remuneration: Based on skills and experience 

    Key Areas of Responsibilities       

    Plan, Prepare and deliver courses/training according to the training plan.
    Maintain a proper class discipline and decorum and cleanliness.
    Conduct trainings both at IST campus and at offsite as per the schedule.
    Ensure that the course material is up to date.
    Research and Design the training material as per the course outline discussed with the EM, prepare a complete teaching plan with EM.
    Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
    Prepare Exam Content.
    Evaluate Students answer sheets.
    Assist other instructors with lab supervision and student monitoring.
    Provide individual and/or group instruction and training to students, faculty, and/or staff on computer technologies.
    Provide technical support for research and development initiatives and for the implementation of new technologies for IST adoption.
    Write structured programs, as appropriate, using technologically current programming languages to support IST Systems.
    Supervise or provide functional direction to lower graded staff and /or student employees performing the same or similar work.
    Prepare a detailed report of the students training for industrial supports i.e their strength and weakness of the subject and a report on placement for every student and report to EM.
    Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems; participates in professional development activities as appropriate.
    Resolve any query that the student may have during the exam.
    Make daily entry into the attendance sheets.
    Develop self, and maintain knowledge in relevant field at all times.

    Qualifications And Experience

    Bachelor degree/Higher diploma in Computer/IT related field.
    Work experience in training will be desirable.
    Knowledge of Database Administration i.e. SQL, PLSQL.
    TOT (Train the trainer) course (Added advantage).

    Purpose of the Position
    To exceed customer’s expectation by delivering quality training programs and consultation and giving feedback to Supervisor on how to improve training programs in line with changes in the IT industry. Also to provide and maintain efficient ICT support to the project site; provide technical and operational support in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of information technology systems, procedures and activities.
    Responsibilities
    Training

    Carry out curriculum development for, clients/ students in various ICT packages according to the stipulated training curriculums at RTRC.
    Develop schemes of work, course outline, records of work and lesson plans for training
    Provide extra guidance to meet individual needs or learning difficulties (i.e. Consultation)
    Assess and/or grade participants’ performance according to the set procedures and properly file examination records.
    Perform pre-course preparation on time to ensure quality delivery of training
    Maintain a high standard of discipline, being punctual in class and maintain high levels of professionalism in all aspects..
    Conduct/facilitate ICT training courses and in the process take and keep daily attendance registers for the students
    Advice students on IT related issues e.g. other courses they can pursue after completion of the ICT course.
    Give feedback and ideas to supervisor e.g. corrections/modifications or improvements to be done on the courseware
    Review clients/ students feedback with Supervisor and ensure appropriate corrective & preventive actions are taken
    Take responsibility for the class and ensure that it runs smoothly at all times by making alternative arrangements when disruptions occur (e.g. trainer is sick, power cut-offs public holiday e.t.c)
    Take part in Conflict Resolution as well as addressing disciplinary issues amongst students.

    ICT

    Assist the ICT Coordinator in the Administration of RWMT’s IT network, computing facilities and other data and telecommunications facilities.
    Assist the ICT Coordinator to perform periodic back-ups for all systems.
    Assist the ICT Coordinator in the introduction and technical operation of computer applications.
    Assist the ICT Coordinator in administering the maintenance of new computers and telecommunications equipment.
    Assist the ICT Coordinator to establish and maintain electronic mail connections.
    Assist the ICT Coordinator in ensuring security protection of the LAN and servers.
    Assist the ICT Coordinator in any RWMT database updates or maintenance.
    Carry out timely installation of software in end user classroom training machines and staff machines.
    Assist the ICT Coordinator in maintaining and updating documentation of procedures, configurations, support procedural documentation and relevant reports.
    Document the yearly ICT students training budget.
    Assist the ICT Coordinator in enforcing software and hardware security measures by restricting access to the systems to authorized persons only and ensuring security protection of the LAN and servers.
    Assist the ICT Coordinator with the development and maintenance of all Organisational databases including and not limited to Filemaker, library, Business Development, Business solution center and training databases.

    Publicity 

    Take part in dissemination of correct information about the organization to the general public.
    Implement the organizations publicity plan as per the laid down time lines.
    Market, advertise and promote RWMT Trainings & the Resource Center.
    Maintain Training & Resource Center information desk.
    Assist in maintaining up to date database of students.
    Maintain a database of all the people who have made inquiries on RTRC courses and share with admin assistant for follow-ups.

    Training – Information Management  

    Assist in maintaining a database of students, personal details and related lists of all students in RTRC.
    Ensure student profiles and files are kept up to date.
    Keep daily attendance registers for the students.
    File examination records and hand over to Administrative assistant for safe keeping.
    Assist in preparing, collecting and filing monitoring and evaluation data from the students.

    Other Duties and Responsibilities

    Actively participate in the Saturday Psycho-Social Support Program for Orphaned and Vulnerable Children and build the community’s capacity to eventually run the Saturday PSS on their own.
    Perform any other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned by the management and supervisor from time to time and which are related to the achievement of RWMT’s mission and vision.

    Qualifications

    At least a diploma in Computer systems / IT, with hands on experience in training and basic troubleshooting techniques of machine software and hardware. The incumbent should have Interest to develop professional skills in ICT.

    Other competencies:

    Must have developed good intercultural orientation and strong public relations skills.
    Should possess strong communication, negotiation, and administration skills.
    Should be able to work independently without supervision and to be self-motivated.
    Diploma in Technical instructor in ICT will be an added advantage.

    Special Working Conditions
