    We are looking for volunteers with an academic/medical background so we can have confidence the translation is done well (we double-double check it no matter who translates) and also volunteers who can work with us efficiently and reliably for an hour or so every week to update the course as the corona virus and its mitigations evolve.

    Important: We need volunteers as we are doing this as a community project and have no funds to spend on professional translators. Please let us know today if you can help!

    Overview
    The Resource Development Coordinator will contribute to CIFOR’s global resource mobilization objectives through identification of funding opportunities and – in coordination with scientists and other substantive staff – support the development of high-quality, compelling, solicited and unsolicited grant applications to CIFOR’s current and prospective public–private development partners. Primary objectives for the position, among others, are: to identify new funding opportunities to support CIFOR’s work at the global level; to support the development of strategic grant applications, timely review and submission of concept notes and proposals; to provide donor intelligence and assurance of strategic alignment of CIFOR’s objectives with donor priorities and objectives; to assist and support other relevant units with outreach and stewardship of major global donors and prospects; and to manage CIFOR’s resource development knowledge and information sharing platform.
    Duties and responsibilities
    Proposal development and coordination

    Coordinate the research and verification of new funding opportunities for relevant global campaigns and/or initiatives.
    Support global research teams in all stages of pre-award functions (concept note/proposal development, planning, drafting, editing, internal clearances and submission of high-value solicitation documents) and efficient transfer of approved awards to Program Management and Coordination (PMC) Team.

    Strategy, analysis and reporting

    Maintain an efficient knowledge-sharing and information portal in the myCIFOR system, which captures and shares information. myCIFOR also manages donor intelligence to enable successful funding approaches and institutional understanding of CIFOR’s resource development activities.
    Support the RDP Team and the Resource Development and Partnerships Committee (RDPC) on reporting progress in key areas of the funding strategy and preparing briefing materials for donor presentations and/or meetings.

    Funding partner relations

    Coordinate with the RDP Team and other units on donor stewardship and cultivation for major global donors and prospects.

    Education, knowledge and experience

    Master’s degree in international relations, conservation/environmental sciences or agricultural development (applicants with an undergraduate degree with 5 years’ relevant work experience will be considered)
    minimum 3 years’ experience in resource mobilization with a proven track record of raising substantial funds for international organizations, UN agencies and/or international nongovernmental organizations
    knowledge of national/global development agendas and goals
    understanding of project cycle management
    experience in working with diverse teams
    above-average written and presentation skills

    Scope of Work
    Integrity is looking for a dynamic and ambitious Chief of Party (COP) for the anticipated USAID/Somalia Evaluation, Learning, and Monitoring Initiative (ELMI). The program will provide support for programrelated services to program and technical teams in the USAID/KEA/Somalia Office in Nairobi, Kenya. The contract will comprise multiple, simultaneous Task Orders including: Program Design and Learning (PD&L) Activities; implementing an ongoing monitoring system for funded activities; conducting data quality assessments; supporting performance management; providing logistical, administrative, and facilitation support for technical team meetings with partners or other stakeholders for the purposes of planning, monitoring, evaluating and/or learning; and fielding technical assistance.
    The COP will lead and manage the overall ELMI IDIQ and ensure that quality standards and schedules are met. S/he will provide vision and overall leadership to program operations and serve as the primary point of contact with USAID on day-to-day activity implementation and management issues. The COP will supervise the work of all personnel assigned to tasks under the program and provide cost and quality assurance of all tasks and assignments undertaken to achieve the objectives of the IDIQ and associated TO.

    Terms of Reference

    Experience
    The COP will have:

    At least 10 years’ of experience in international development, including experience managing multimillion dollar development projects.
    Prior experience in a high threat environment with strong multi-cultural, inter-personal and supervision skills.
    At least three years of experience as a COP, demonstrating professional interaction with senior U.S. and foreign government officials.
    Prior experience in supervising long-term field staff and short-term experts of diverse backgrounds.
    A graduate degree in the field of management, international development or a related technical field, or a bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience.
    Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking/planning, management, and presentation skills.

    The UN-Habitat Urban Lab: Social Inclusion and Human Rights internship is for 5-6 months depending on the needs of the Organization’
    The Internship is UNPAID and full-time.
    Interns work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned.
    Responsibilities
    The intern will work under the direct supervision of an Urban Planning Expert from the Urban Planning, Finance and Economy Section and will assist in development of the social inclusion and human rights agenda activities of the Urban Practices Branch as well as other Sections and units in UN-Habitat. The specific positions offered for the interns are:

    Support the Urban Planning, Finance and Economy Section
    Support the Urban Planning and Design LAB

    The intern will;
    Assist in the definition and implementation of the social inclusion and human rights activities and outputs, such as mainstreaming social inclusion and human rights in the urban planning methodology, development of socially inclusive projects and tools, documentation and evaluation of practice,organization of workshops and meetings and preparation of field missions and scoping missions.

    Support the designated programme (Urban Planning, Finance and Economy Section, Urban Planning and Design Lab) in the mainstreaming social inclusion and human rights in the urban planning and design projects, urban plans, workshops, trainings, Charrettes and different tools to promote more inclusive urban planning and design.
