    We Are Looking For Someone Who Can

    Provide leadership oversight of 10+ software engineers, including employees, contractors, and third-party partners.
    Participate in strategy conversations the organization in general and technology in particular.
    Develop an understanding of organizational goals and requirements, and develop a vision to translate those requirements to the technical end-product.
    Work in alignment with project leadership and internal & external stakeholders to deliver projects on time, with high quality, and that meet client needs.
    Partner with cross functional teams, stakeholders, product owners, and operational managers to deliver software solutions in alignment with organizational objectives.
    Be the team’s representative among senior and project leadership, effectively managing upwards and downwards.
    Develop and deliver regular communication including software delivery status and risks to senior management.
    Determine appropriate work load for engineers and develop engineer’s skills in alignment with their career goals and organizational future needs.
    Has a strong Software Engineering background and deep knowledge of agile development practices, TDD/BDD, automated builds, continuous integration, Cloud & container infrastructure.
    Has experience across the entire software development life-cycle from inception, through build to production.

    Key Responsibilities

    Collaborate with senior engineering staff to define and implement reliable, scalable, efficient and secure architectures operating in a cloud environment.
    Create and execute key strategies to meet business outcomes and manage strategic relationships.
    The ability to lead and influence C-level stakeholders.
    Deliver high quality, high availability, highly reliable, scalable, and secure systems.
    Lead the architecture, design, implementation and deployment of products, working with project teams to ensure effective translation of requirements into technical specifications, delivery of products to schedule with high quality.
    Define and manage the entire software development lifecycle in an agile delivery environment focusing on continuous deployment at pace while maintaining quality and performance of software systems including supporting systems in production, responding to production incidents and managing unplanned work.

    Strategic collaboration with senior management and stakeholders (e.g. Health, Operations, Innovation, Business Development, CHST, etc.) to define and build new features and products

    Qualifications

    BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
    12+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on high performing, innovative/creative and consumer-facing application and platforms.
    7+ years of leadership experience of which 5 should be direct management experience of a medium-size team i.e. 15+,
    Previous hands-on experience developing web/mobile applications, transactional platforms from requirements gathering to delivery and support.
    Proven ability to efficiently manage all aspects of the software development lifecycle in an Agile environment particularly multi-tier data-driven applications.
    Preferably experience in Java, Android, Node, Javascript, React, Python and Linux.
    Comfortable with integration, extension and modification of open-source tools.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the duties and responsibilities for the position will entail:

    Development of relevant Policies, Procedures and guidelines for the Trade facilitation and customer Service functions.

    Ensure that the Contact Centre is functioning optimally at all times so that customer needs are effectively handled.

    Requirements for Appointment
    For appointment to this position, one must have:

    Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Management Trade Logistics, Shipping and Economics or in any business-related field from a recognized institution.

    Relevant work experience of not less than twelve (12) years, seven (7) of which should be in a senior management position

    DescriptionThe Director of Finance and Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial systems implementation, budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting and accounting for an anticipated USAID-funded HIV Service Delivery project.The Director of Finance and Operations will establish and maintain sound financial management practices, and ensure the project’s compliance with FHI 360 and USAID procedures, rules and regulations. Responsibilities include budget development and monitoring, prime award monitoring and compliance, sub award management, procurement, and logistics. Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project and the selection of final applicant is subject to USAID approval.Job Summary / Responsibilities
    Provide leadership to finance and operations aspects of the project, including general administrative processes, financial management, sub award management, accounting, and logistics;
    Establish and maintain sound and transparent accounting and fiscal control procedures for financial, sub award and operations aspects of project;
    Ensure compliance of financial and operations systems with FHI 360 policies and procedures, USAID rules and regulation, award requirements, and Government of Kenyan laws;

    Job Purpose
    The purpose of this job is to:

    Continuously analyze trade facilitation trends within Kenya and globally and make appropriate recommendations to ‘enhance the ease of doing business

    Oversee the management and use of the National Electronic Single Window System (TradeNet System) and other value add services as Trade Facilitation Tools.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the duties and responsibilities for the position will entail:

    Preparation of strategic business models, annual budgets, business plans and performance work plans for the trade facilitation function.
    Development of relevant Policies, Procedures and guidelines for the Trade facilitation and customer Service functions.
    To continuously analyze the international trade logistics supply chain and recommend trade facilitation strategies required to improve trade processes and procedures by working closely with relevant stakeholders & other partners, representatives of business and trading community in Kenya.
    Conduct consultative engagements with relevant partners to strengthen capacity, facilitate and ease trade and collaboration with the trading community.
    To assess the current business needs and to promote comprehensive cooperation and understanding among public sector and trading community on the application of the Single Window System.
    To provide expertise and recommendations as to how to adapt internationally acclaimed trade facilitation measures to the local realities
    To identify institutional, legal and functional gaps which hinder the introduction of trade facilitation measures in the country and recommend appropriate action
    Undertake research for the continued enhancement and optimal use of the TradeNet System as a trade facilitation tool
    To oversee business process reengineering of the TradeNet System to ensure continuous improvement of business environment
    Ensure effective customer service/support for the TradeNet System users and users of other trade facilitation tools provided by the Agency to ensure highest customer satisfaction levels at all times.
    Ensure that the Contact Centre is functioning optimally at all times so that customer needs are effectively handled.
    Such other duties as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the level of responsibility of this job role.

    Requirements for Appointment
    For appointment to this position, one must have:

    Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Management Trade Logistics, Shipping and Economics or in any business-related field from a recognized institution.
    Master’s Degree in a Business Trade or logistics field – or in any other business-related field from a recognized institution
    Relevant work experience of not less than twelve (12) years, seven (7) of which should be in a senior management position
    Certificate in computer applications (proof of knowledge in using computer applications)
    Leadership course lasting not less than 4 weeks
    Membership to a relevant professional body

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:
    The Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture, will report to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and be responsible for expanding World Vision International’s use of information technology as a strategic enabler of the Partnership’s goals and objectives. The Enterprise Architect (EA) will achieve this by strategically designing, developing, managing and implementing process models for enterprise-level applications, systems and solutions. These models shall be architected at the following layers; conceptual, logical, business area, and application. This leader will be the primary advocate for EA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
    Responsible for the leadership of the Enterprise Architecture functions including Strategy and Planning, Oversight, and Enterprise Management. Strategy and Planning includes participation as a member of the senior IT leadership team in the development and delivery of long-term strategic goals for the enterprise architecture’s vision and standards in conjunction with end users, department leaders, clients, and other key stakeholders. The creation of short-term tactical solutions to achieve long-term objectives and an overall technology roadmap utilizing the data architecture, business architecture and technical architecture functions.
