    IRC is seeking a Data Clerk to be based in Nairobi for a Euro 30 Million five year, urban livelihoods program: Refugees in East Africa: Boosting Urban Innovations for Livelihoods Development (RE:BUILD). The RE: BUILD program is funded by the IKEA Foundation and will be implemented in Kampala and Nairobi. The IRC is the Lead Partner and will coordinate a consortium of local and international partners to deliver the program. RE: BUILD seeks for urban refugees and vulnerable host residents to achieve economic self-reliance and benefit from strengthened urban economic, regulatory, and social environments. RE: BUILD will strive to enable change at varying levels, from better access to livelihood opportunities and inclusive services within communities to improved refugee-related policies and more targeted and effective service delivery from national, regional, and global actors.     Job Responsibilities:

    Participate actively in the enforcement of quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement measures for all program intervention.
    Support other RE:BUILD project staff members in registering clients using tablets, to program application database.
    support in the verification and cleaning of data to ensure compliance and avoidance of double servicing of clients within IRC programs and also within RE:BUILD implementing partners.
    Assist in verifying the accuracy of data as collected at all stages of program implementation and ensure data entered into the Comm Care application is accurate and of good quality.
    Cooperate with the project team in developing and updating database and project indicator dashboards.
    Handle data collection during baseline surveys, end line surveys, follow-up surveys, business monitoring, and USLA monitoring exercises.
    Coordinate closely with program staff and management on targeting, data collection, data systems and information management.
    Support the Client Responsiveness senior officer in organizing and attending client and partners feedback fora sessions.
    Participate in M&E learning cycles and M&E capacity building workshops for project staff.
    Undertake any other duties as advised by the supervisor.

    Monitoring and Reporting

    Work with the other M&E staff to design and Implement Monitoring & Evaluation Plans.
    Conduct regular visits to project sites, as possible, to provide technical assistance and ensure proper monitoring of project activities.
    Work closely with Senior M&E Officer in the analysis and interpretation of data and in the creation of data exports and dashboards.
    Support the Senior M&E officer in preparing M&E monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports for the RE:BUILD management team and the donor, as needed and on-time.

    Qualifications

    Degree or Diploma in Information Systems, Database Management, Computer Science, or related field.
    At least 1 to 2 years of meaningful work experience in monitoring and evaluation, data management, data analysis, or similar livelihood programming.
    Experience handling data collection and analysis, with experience with or concrete knowledge of open-source tools such as ODK collect, KoBo Toolbox, or CommCare platforms.
    Experience in mobile data collection, entry & data cleaning with a large database would be an added advantage.
    Humanitarian organization experience preferred, or experience interacting with refugees or vulnerable youths.
    Experience conducting critical data analysis and report writing.
    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relations with local counterparts, donors, and other collaborators.
    Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    Fluency in English and Swahili required.

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    HIAS Kenya is seeking to recruit MHPSS Associate who will be responsible for the direct provision of MHPSS services to refugees and asylum seekers in a timely and efficient manner.  This position will also facilitate MHPSS capacity building activities for HIAS staff and key stakeholders. The MHPSS associate responsibilities will also include conducting individual assessments, engaging in case management, and ensuring that individuals receive the proper level of care. MHPSS associate will be expected to track the impact of the assistance provided to all clients, and will work under the supervision of a Field Office Coordinator
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    In close coordination with the MHPSS officer, establish standard operating procedures for the provision of MHPSS support to refugees and asylum seekers.
    In close coordination with the MHPSS officer, develop a brief assessment to identify emergency and vulnerable psychosocial needs.
    Provide culturally sensitive MHPSS support (both individual and group) to refugees and IDPs experiencing elevated distress, including children and youth, caregivers, and other vulnerable individuals,
    Provide culturally sensitive PSS
    Conduct awareness about mental health and psychosocial services through evidenced based psychoeducation and skill building activities to HIAS and implementing partner.
    Support the community self-help groups and maintain networks with existing community structures and other partners for referral and networking purposes.
    In coordination with the MHPSS officer, develop linkages with other service providers to promote quality referral pathways; establish appropriate referral mechanisms and ensure appropriate follow-up is provided for vulnerable individuals.
    In coordination with the MHPSS officer, provide crisis assessment, intervention and support to HIAS and implementing partners.
    Ensure compliance with case management and reporting requirements, including data protection and safeguarding principles.
    Support in identifying training needs and ensure appropriate training provided for frontline HIAS and implementing partners staff.
    Promoting mental health and psychosocial support within affected communities through using appropriate technical tools, training, leaflets, guidelines, and other relevant materials.
    Assess, identify and analyze community sensitive intervention geared towards building   resilience and self-reliance.
    Provide periodic reports on MHPSS services and clients’ progress.
    Provide input for the review of current program services and explore ways to introduce new service interventions.
    Other duties, as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

    A degree in psychology, sociology, social work, anthropology, or a related subject
    Minimum of 1-2 years working in MHPSS programming; preference for candidates who have previous experience with direct service provision to vulnerable refugee and migrant populations in emergency setting.
    Demonstrated experience with operationalizing MHPSS Global standards and principles, including knowledge of IASC and other international humanitarian standards for MHPSS programming.
    Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients.
    Experience in capacity building including facilitation of diversity and inclusion, community-based training and awareness raising.
    Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills required.
