Our client, a big plywood factory, is actively seeking reliable and hardworking woodworking cutting machine Operator to join our team.
THE JOB
As a Woodworking Cutting Machine Operator, you will operate and maintain machinery used for cutting, shaping, and preparing wood materials for production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
Operate woodworking machines such as saws, routers, planers, and CNC cutting machines to cut and shape wood according to specifications.
Adjust machine settings and calibrations for optimal performance.
Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Material Handling
Load raw wood materials onto machines and secure them for processing.
Inspect wood for defects or irregularities before processing.
Handle finished parts and prepare them for further assembly or shipping.
Quality Control
Verify dimensions and specifications of finished products using measuring tools.
Ensure all products meet quality and safety standards.
Identify and address defects or production errors.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Perform routine maintenance on woodworking machines, such as cleaning, lubrication, and replacing parts.
Troubleshoot mechanical or technical issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.
Safety and Compliance
Adhere to all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace.
Follow company policies and production guidelines.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in woodworking or machinery operation is preferred.
Proven experience operating woodworking cutting machines or similar equipment.
Familiarity with woodworking techniques, tools, and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and squares.
Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift and handle heavy materials.

Working Conditions
Working in manufacturing or workshop environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Standing and moving for extended periods.
Use of PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
May require overtime or shift work based on production needs.
