Women’s Land Rights Consultant

The Institute for Research and Policy Alternatives (IRPA), based in Nairobi, Kenya, is seeking a Women’s Land Rights Consultant with expertise in the Middle East and North Africa, to be part of a team on a bid for a 12-month consultancy to conduct an assessment of the landscape for women’s housing, land and property rights – both urban and rural – in the Middle East-North Africa (MNA) region.
Qualifications:

Gender analysis and gender gap assessment
Land law with a focus on intersection of law and gender issues
Expertise with qualitative and quantitative research methods
Public awareness raising around gender and land issues

Other desirable criteria:

At least 5 years experience in gender and land tenure issues
Candidates based in the Middle East or North Africa region are highly desired.
Fluency in Arabic is an advantage.
