Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to develop the Winpart/Autofast Department’s business in line with the CFAO Mobility Kenya and the Group business strategy. The ideal candidate will focus on the Aftermarket business with the four pillars which include IAM Parts, Battery, Lubricants and Tyres.
The direct reportees to the role include Sales/Stores Manager – Winpart and Service Manager – Autofast.
The ideal candidate will interact with Internal Customers and team members, Winpart Suppliers, Customers, Authorized repairers, Certified garages, Franchisee.
Main Responsibilities of the Job
Managerial & Technical Responsibilities
Leading and developing the activity of the subsidiary’s Winpart department through 3 sales channels:
Direct sales to: B2B customers (fleet, parts jobbers, garages) from dedicated Winpart sales outlets.
Multi-brand rapid service offer under Autofast brand Stand alone center franchised centers with 1 specific partner
Indirect sales by supplying network of certified garages (Team Toyota) and others
Ensure the development of the Winpart brand portfolio of around 15 suppliers. He/she will be responsible for:
Manage, recruit, and organise a team for direct sales, indirect sales channels and stock management
Develop and monitor the turnover and profitability (P&L) of the department
Develop the sales force and the animators per sales channel
Be the reference for the dedicated distribution networks
Build and animate the 4 sales channels according to their specificities and plan commercial animations.
Manage the stock and restocking
Develop the offer and expand the range
Main activities of the Job
Sales & Marketing
Prepares and coordinates the budget and marketing plan for his/her area of responsibility.
Has responsibility for sales development initiatives, the customer portfolio and business coordination.
Analyses competitors and market potential
Ensures the relationship by sales channels (partner garages, franchisees)
Analyses sales figures (turnover, gross margin, market share, etc.) and propose promotions and sales development campaigns
Establish rate proposals and responds to tender invitations from companies and government departments
Management
Hires, organises, and implements teams, and develops them to ensure delivery of optimum customer service
Coordinates the Spare Parts teams
Organises team training in conjunction with head office and manufacturers
Prepares team training plans in conjunction with his/her line managers
Develop and manage relationship of all stakeholders (customers, head office, suppliers, other department)
Procurement and Parts Storage
Manages procurement process in conjunction with suppliers and central purchase office
Has responsibility for preparing stock orders
Organises and prepares the spare parts stock’s permanent and general inventory
Ensures stock quality and stock rotation
Reporting
Manages order flow: replenishment, stock, and deliveries
Optimizes operational costs, monitors budget and prepare monthly reports (for subsidiary, head office and/or Winpart suppliers).
Quality
Ensures full application of internal compliance rules for his/her area of responsibility
Ensures optimum health, safety and working conditions, as well as full application of Group environmental standards within his/her area of responsibility
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field from a recognised institution.
Post graduate degree/Diploma will be an added advantage.
At least ten years Solid professional experience in the aftermarket, particularly in the field of IAM spare parts.
