As a member of the Maintenance Team, you will report to the Fixed Plant Supervisor. You will be responsible for interpreting drawings, ensuring safe welding and fabrication procedures are followed and maintaining high standards in the operation of Base Titanium plant and equipment. The main duties will include but are not limited to:
Performing welding and fabrication duties
Reading and working from technical design drawings
Welding and fabricating in variety of conditions
To succeed you will be a Kenyan National and have:
Minimum 3 years of proven welding experience
A Trade Test Certificate 1 in Welding and/or Fabrication
Experience in using a variety of welding equipment and procedures including MIG/TIG/ARC will be an added advantage
The ability to read and work from technical design drawings
Experience in using a variety of electrical and manual tools including but not limited to saws, squares and calipers
Demonstrable ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills & a good working knowledge of English and Kiswahili
A ‘can do’ attitude
Demonstrable “safety awareness “ and be able to mentor others on the same
