Main responsibilities will include:
Be the daily responsible for monitoring of WDF-funded project partnerships and programmes in 5-6 countries in the Francophone Africa region. The monitoring will follow WDF’s standard operating procedures and also include field visits, stakeholder meetings, etc., as deemed relevant, as requested by partners, and as requested from WDF headquarters.
Prepare reports, advocacy, communication, and other formats of content, related to WDF-funded partnerships in the countries of responsibility and pursue opportunities for profiling of WDF.
Engage in strategic discussions on the continued development of the Francophone African portfolio in WDF with colleagues and management and support both internal knowledge sharing at WDF and that project learnings are shared regionally and globally.
Profile of candidate
The preferred candidate for the position holds an academic degree at master’s level within a field of relevance (e.g. public health/international health, political science/social science, development studies or related) and with a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
The candidate would be expected to possess excellent writing and communication skills and be able to synthesise, analyse and communicate complex and comprehensive data.
Experience working with health-related projects will be an asset. The candidate must have full professional proficiency in French and English.
