Village Administrators

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate general administration functions and service position in the village;
Assist in dissemination and implementation of policies and plans at the village;
Assist in developing and implementing activities to empower communities;
Monitor and report on infrastructure and public facilities status;
Facilitate of citizen participation in village councils;
Mobilize citizens to attend public participation events/activities;
Mobilize and educate citizens to participate in development projects;
Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports;
Perform any other function delegated by the supervision;
Exercising any functions and powers delegated by the County Public Service Board

Requirements for appointment

Be a Kenyan citizen;
Be a diploma holder in any of the following fields related to administration: public administration/management, human resource management, community development, development studies, public management/governance, political science/sociology, anthropology, psychology, business administration/management, linguistics and any other diploma related to public administration from recognized institution in Kenya;

N/B: The Diploma attained MUST be of at LEAST Two Years from an institution recognized in
Kenya.

Minimum two (2) years of working experience in public administration;
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of County development objectives;
Demonstrate administrative ability and competence in work performance;
Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the constitution of Kenya
