Duties and responsibilities
Inspecting the conditions of infrastructure and doing analysis of all available data before they are estimated and give final reports;
Heading of a sizeable schedule at the headquarters or sub county with the responsibility for carrying out valuation duties of a wide range;
Undertaking more specialized and complex work involving valuation of Urban, Agricultural or rating projects of considerable financial outlay and attending to Courts on valuation matters;
Collecting data for the County Land Value Index, Analyzing market data for valuation process and stamp duty valuation;
Designing, developing and do research on titles in land registries and operate comprehensive valuation database for determination process;
Calculating areas and measuring building plans and maps in the field for valuation and
Preparing plans and lists of plot owners and areas by land acquisition projects and filling stamp duty valuation reports.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade a candidate must:
Be a Kenyan citizen;
Have Excellent knowledge of designs of G.I.S software and valuation procedures;
Have relevant working experience of not less than three (3) years in the grade of Valuer II, JG “J” or its equivalent and relevant position;
Proficiency of spatial knowledge including property and valuation database;
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Degree in Land Economics, Real Estate and Property Studies or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution of higher learning in Kenya;
Have been registered by the institute of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) valuation chapter and be a corporate member of that Institute or a surveying body recognized by the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK);
Have demonstrated ability initiative and competence in organizing, directing and executing valuation work at this level and
Certificate in Computer Application Skills
