Travel Agent

Job Summary:

The job holder is responsible for understanding clients’ preferences, offering travel advice, and coordinating various components of their trips tensure a seamless and enjoyable travel experience.

Key Responsibilities: 

Actively promote and sell travel packages, deals, and special offers. 
Liaising with travel partners, including airlines and hotels, to manage bookings and schedules at least three months in advance or as per the clients’ preference.
Identify and execute contract negotiations as well as ensure use of preferred suppliers.
Provide reports of spend plus volume trends along with exception reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
Collaborate with the marketing team tcreate enticing promotions and marketing materials.
Develop personalized travel itineraries that align with the client’s desires and requirements.
Negotiate effectively with travel service providers tsecure the best rates and value for clients.
Actively seek and utilize client feedback tenhance services and address areas for improvement.

Education/Experience Needed:

BA in Hospitality, Travel, Tours operations, Tourism, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role.
Proven track record of successful sales alongside industry knowledge.
Experience with reservations systems such as GDS systems and e-travelling.

Skills and Abilities Required: 

Client oriented mindset, critical thinker, and problem solver, passionate about travel and tourism, assertive and good time management skills. 
Good knowledge of travel software, good sales, and presentation skills. 
Marketing abilities – experience in identifying market segments/trends and potential clients.
