Transformation & Change Manager

Role Summary
The Transformation & Change Manager will play a critical role in enabling Musoni Microfinance to implement, measure and report on its transformation and social impact initiatives. He /She will be required to assist Musoni Microfinance to promote, sustain and implement programs in order to improve transparency and enhance the capacity to innovate products that have a greater social impact on the lives of clients, their families and the community at large. This position requires high level resilience to be able to design, implement, monitor and evaluate key change strategic initiatives in a highly competitive, digital and fast-paced financial market.
Key Responsibilities

Work with Musoni Management Team in ensuring that consideration (backed up by social data) is given to social objectives in all key strategic and other management decisions
Conduct monitoring, evaluation and reporting to ensure impact and transformation are met on the ground
Develop, implement and manage Environmental and Social Performance Management Toolkit for Musoni
Deliver change innovatively in an environment with existing deep and diverse culture and build an attractive Employee Value Proposition to ensure employee & business growth & development
Engage stakeholders to understand change impacts and business readiness to adopt planned changes and realise benefits
Help with the development and delivery of relevant assessments, plans, processes and materials to enable the change i.e. business readiness assessment, change sustainability plans, new processes, training, benefits realisation plans and tracking
Carry out the relevant environment and social performance studies
Develop and drive Musoni’s CSR/Sustainability strategy
Prepare quarterly CCRC (Client Complain Resolution Committee) reports for Musoni
Implement, manage & report various aspects of CPP, SPI4, ESMS & other social ratings
Understand, interpret and communicate client requirements
Work closely with business teams to facilitate client training sessions and to develop client training material
Participate and contribute to SPM and ESG audits/reviews (either internal or external)
Manage the preparation of an annual Responsible Inclusive Finance Report
Work with Innovation & IT teams to improve data collection practices and data quality for social outcomes reporting (including rural and poverty likelihood segmentation, and other client outcome indicators). Collect and report on social outcomes related data
Provide coaching, mentoring, training and guidance to ensure appropriate development and enable high performance on social impact goals
Keep abreast of guidelines and standards on responsible microfinance and ways of implementing it

Qualifications & Experience

Master’s/ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Finance/Economics/Development Studies
Three to Five years of working experience in microfinance, business development, product development, operational management or performance/portfolio quality management. Experience in microfinance operations is preferable
Three to five years’ experience in social impact program or monitoring and evaluation
Experience in training and demonstrate ability in monitoring and evaluation and impact evaluation
Strong knowledge of SPM and Client Protection industry best practices and standards, and their application in financial institutions

Skills & Knowledge:

Knowledge of Universal Standards for Social Performance Management and ESG
Knowledge of reporting on sustainability
Skills in data analysis to enable reporting
Fluency in English is required
Hands-on Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS project and Skype is mandatory
Excellent interpersonal skills including the capacity for proposal development is essential
Demonstrated ability to identify and focus on priority.
Solid leadership and strategic thinking, experience, and networking
Experience collecting data through focus group discussions, surveys and observation
Willingness and ability to travel to collect data
Practical experience and training in SPM management tools and practices
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with different institutions and a variety of stakeholders
Fluency in English and Swahili is required
