Job specification:
Reporting to the Senior Trainer, the Trainer is responsible for training Students under the provisions of the respective School. The Trainer is responsible for the delivery of training programmes in adherence to the provisions of the Legal Notice No. 233 of 28th November 2018, and any other International Conventions and National Legislation relating to training in Port Operations and Logistics.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in: –
Designing, developing and delivering of training programmes
The development of Maritime Transport Operations Training policies
Developing and reviewing curriculum
Developing the school calendar and time tabling
The development, evaluation of teaching, learning and assessment materials
Supervising trainees’ Trade Projects and Business Plan
Marking internal examinations
Maintaining students’ attendance and performance records
Person Specification:
For appointment to this grade a Candidate must have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in, Maritime Transport and Logistics, or its equivalent in a relevant field from a University recognized in Kenya
Registered member of a relevant professional body in good standing will be an added advantage
Training of Trainers certification
Proficiency in computer applications
Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
