Traditional Trade Supervisor

The Position:
The Traditional Trade Supervisor will report to the Head of Business Development. The role is a mix of sales management, analytics, customer relationship management, and logistics.
Primary Responsibilities

Leading a team of sales representatives and coaching them in their respective fields on sales techniques, administration and products.
Liaising with upper management ensuring sales targets are met through effective planning and budgeting.
Setting the targets for the sales executives and other sales representatives. Ensure the targets are realistic and achievable.
Analyzing current marketplace and feeding back important market and competitive information.
It is the TT supervisor’s duty to map potential customers and generate leads for the organization.
Planning, executing, and managing sales strategies
Generating new leads and developing existing customers
Responding to customer enquiries.
Work with our principles’ marketing teams to deliver improvements in brand engagement scores across different territories. 
Ensuring that RTM Stock holding points are well stocked.
Responsible for continuous DSR Itinerary Audit for every route visited.
Compiling sales reports, and maintenance of necessary data/records for future reference by management in the cloud (Google Cloud/iCloud).
Weekly reporting to management on countrywide DSR Performance.
DSR Performance review with each team every 4 weeks (Periodically).
Reconciliation of delivery documents to the SHP’s & other W/S’s by DSR’s.
Any other duties assigned by management

Requirements for the job
Qualifications (Academic)

A Bachelors Degree in business areas such as Management, Marketing or Economics. Formal sales training like Spin Selling© or Miller Heiman an advantage.

Experience

3 years Team Management experience.
Proven sales experience.
Experience in leading and managing a team

Skills

Strong communication skills
In depth understanding of sales and marketing principles
Strong commercial outlook and an ability to drive revenue growth through marketing.
Highly motivated and passionate about trade marketing.
Knowledge of Kenya’s Informal Retail landscape.
Experienced user of sales CRM systems like Salesforce
