Job Overview:
We are seeking a Temporary Finance Officer to join our team and provide crucial support in ensuring compliance with financial procedures and documentation. The primary responsibility will be to review support documentation related to payments and identify areas of inadequacy. The candidate will collaborate with sub-grantees to address documentation gaps, ensuring a comprehensive and compliant financial record. This position is vital in preparing for upcoming audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Review support documentation associated with payments for accuracy and compliance.
Identify and communicate inadequacies in documentation to sub-grantees.
Collaborate with sub-grantees to obtain missing or incomplete documentation promptly.
Maintain accurate records of documentation status and communication with sub-grantees.
Assist in the preparation of financial data for upcoming audits.
Provide support in implementing financial compliance best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience in financial roles, with a focus on compliance and documentation.
Experience working with donor funding and sub grantees.
Familiarity with audit processes and requirements.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience of setting up and managing donor compliance monitoring systems, developing, and implementing relevant tools
