Technician Job Purpose
To provide skilled work in the installation, repair, operation and maintenance of refrigeration, air conditioning, bakery equipment, butchery equipment, milk equipment and generators.
Responsibilities of the Technician job:
Carry out preventive maintenance of refrigeration, ovens and generators.
Offer advice on fresh equipments and ensuring their regular servicing.
Repair faulty refrigeration, generators and other fresh equipment in general.
Ensure materials required are requisitioned for to facilitate smooth operation of refrigeration and fresh equipment.
Assist in verification of refrigeration and fresh equipment spares purchased/supplied.
Make recommendations for equipment replacement where expected cost to repair exceed possible replacement cost
Make minor installation decisions
Perform regular cleaning of the equipment
Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized, time expended and type of work performed.
Collect data for reports and general administrative duties
Qualifications for the Technician Job:
Diploma in Refrigeration with 5 years experience in related field preferably in retail.
Qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering is an added advantage.
Experience in maintenance and installation of other equipment necessary
Excellent Communication skills
Ability to work long and Odd hours
