The individual hired to fill this role will drive sales to meet set sales targets and lead the team with the origination and development of ground, roof and other types of domestic, commercial and industrial-scale solar projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Managing Director, the position-holders’ responsibilities will include among others:
Generating sales to meet set sales targets and grow business to business, and business to consumer portfolios;
Providing overall direction and coordination to the sales team with regards to the sales processes specifically: day to day supervision team members, setting sales targets for team members, and reviewing their performance;
Establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with customers;
Acting as a key market intelligence resource;
Keeping tab of all inventory and determine the first moving products and reorder levels;
Project planning and management;
Secure new business and new project opportunities;
Develop sales presentations, proposals, and other materials as needed;
Travel as needed; sometimes evening and weekend as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player. Key qualifications as follows:
A Higher diploma in electrical and electronics engineering or a relevant technical field or a diploma with outstanding sales and sales management experience;
3 years’ experience in sales and support services with a successful track record in business growth, project development and completion;
Team leadership capabilities;
Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and the internet;
Excellent presentation and communication skills including fluency in written and spoken English;
