We have an excellent and exciting opportunity for a Technical In-charge. We seek to give the opportunity to a candidate who ideally holds professional qualification in technical and mechanical qualifications. The position is based in Mombasa.
Duties & Responsibility:
Technical
Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation on equipment’s use.
Make quick decisions and solve technical problems to minimize on operations delays.
Ensure standards operating procedures are adhered to.
Adhere to set maintenance of equipment as per schedule.
Ensure 100% efficient functioning of all machines.
Diagnostic analysis of machines using software’s where applicable.
Ensure a high standard of repairs and maintenance.
Proper documentation of all maintenance, repairs, equipment’s and all technical work.
Proper custody of company logbooks of all equipment.
Proper storage of technical tools and equipment.
Staff Management
Task allocation and performance evaluation of team members.
Provide technical training to the team and serve as a mentor & coach.
Conduct regular departmental meetings.
Conduct annual performance evaluation.
Be involved in the recruitment of new technical employees.
Employee motivation and retention.
Ensure safety of workers using machines and equipment.
Train all drivers on basic mechanics and vehicle checks.
Financial Management
Annual budgeting for the department.
Proposal formulation for all new equipment and assets to be procured.
Make presentations on project status, present monthly and annual reports to senior management.
Reports
Timely submission of monthly reports.
Timely submission of weekly reports.
Management
Attend the weekly management meetings.
Implement agreed upon projects.
Advising management on improvements and growth strategies.
Strive to achieve the Corporate Strategic Plan for the organization.
Others duties
Proper custody of company logbooks of all equipment.
Be well informed on stakeholder developments on operations equipment.
Any other duty assigned by Management.

100% utilization of machines.
100% revenue generation from machines.
Zero breakdowns.
Cost effective maintenance and repairs.
Key Competencies and Skills
Qualifications:
Minimum BSc Engineering.
Certifications in artisanship an added advantage.
Proficient in use of technical software’s of heavy duty machinery and vehicle systems.
Skills & Competencies:

Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to supervise, projects execution.
Team player and of high integrity.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Technical negotiation skills.
Management and leadership skills.
Knowledge of machines diagnostics software’s.
