Job Description
Are you a full-stack software developer with excellent programming skills, strong problem-solving abilities, a strong leadership track record, and a passion for developing/improving tech solutions utilizing cutting-edge technologies? And are you looking to build your next tech venture from an existing an existing protoype? If so, we would like to hear from you! We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to join a start-up founder to help accelerate the development of the next disruptive African venture, where you will play an instrumental role as a co-founder/CTO. You will mainly be responsible for the tech/product side of the business. In addition to the core skills, you will need to have the ability to:

If You Will

Develop product improvements as agreed upon by the team. This is not an advisory or a consulting role. We are looking for co-founders with a hands-on approach.
Ensure proper documentation of all technical products.
Serve as a product evangelist & subject matter expert to the technical/developer community

If You Have
 

Bachelor’s degree or higher (Preferred)
Experience in building both web and mobile applications (Required)
Ability to quickly learn the existing product and suggest ways to improve. 
E-commerce experience (Preferred)
Demonstrated leadership, maturity, and organizational abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal & collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to use diplomacy & communication skills to influence outcomes and influence others without authority.
Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in conducting technological analyses of business problems developing technical roadmaps, story outlines, writing user stories, refining product backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Ability to work independently, without the need for day-to-day guidance, make independent decisions, and influence positive outcomes.
Have a passion for creativity and design including art and fashion. 

Compensation:

This is currently an unpaid position for an early-stage start-up that requires a couple of hours of work on a weekly basis. 
Post fundraising compensation: Competitive market rates
Share Ownership:  Negotiable equity percentage with 1 year of cliff and 4 years of vesting.
