REPORTING TO: OPERATIONS MANAGER
OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
We are seeking to recruit a competent technical assistant who is of high integrity and self-driven to join our dynamic team. The technical assistant will ensure quality installation, quality maintenance and service of electronic security systems. The ideal candidates should have vast experience as a technical asssitant specifically in the security industry, serve as a point of contact for customers with queries about technical products and issues:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, program, maintain, and repair various alarm systems including burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
Installation of perimeter protection/electric fence
Conduct thorough inspections and testing of installed systems to ensure proper functionality.
Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot issues to determine appropriate solutions.
Training clients on usage of security systems ensuring customer satisfaction
Assist in conducting technical assessments
Provide quality service to both internal and external customers by completing all tasks accurately and within the set time frame
Ensure that safety regulations are adhered to on the technical areas touching on the company and its clients
Record and maintain technical records i.e. worksheets, service schedules, job cards
Preparation of technical quotation needed by prospective clients
Any other duties that may be assigned by seniors from time to time
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL COMPENTENCIES
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or any other relevant qualification; additional certification is a plus.
3 years proven experience in the technical security industry
Must be experienced in installation and maintenance of: Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Vehicle Barriers Systems, in line with KSIA technical standards.
Experience in working in fast paced target driven environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
A valid Driver’s/Rider’s License with a minimum of five years continuous driving/riding experience
