Team Leader

Job Summary: Provision of guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to Field Marketing Representatives (Merchandisers) & promoters for the purpose of achieving key results
Indicative Duties Include;
Managing, training and supervising FMRs
Monitoring Team performance and activities in the outlets i.e. ensuring the team meets target forward shares for the products in their outlets and prompting action points where necessary to achieve more among others.
Managing Relations with the client and Outlet personnel.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly and any other reports as may be agreed from time to time.
Tracking consumer demands and trends
Attend weekly meetings; discuss task delegation in relation to route plans and review issues.
Compile all stock outs in the outlets under your jurisdiction and forward the same for follow-ups.
Ensure prompt and effective implementation of the 5P’s (Product placement, Product assortment, promotions, POP materials and Pricing)
Ensure compliance to Merchandising Objectives’s as directed by client.
Offer sense of direction on market trend

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate that they have the necessary experience and competence to immediately add value to the work of the Company, Team and Clients and to ensure the timely delivery of delegated tasks and quality services under general supervision only.
The appointee shall:

Have good organizational, and technical skills relevant to the role with the ability to problem solve, pay attention to detail and deliver work to a high standard and to tight deadlines.
Essential Education Qualifications, Attainments and Experience
Good general level of education – minimum Diploma in Sales & Marketing or its equivalent from a recognized institution
Have a high degree of computer literacy – to include competence in Microsoft applications – word processing, spreadsheets, databases, file management, e-mail and the internet.
Relevant and acceptable work experience in a competitive marketing field
Desirable Skills, Abilities & Prior experience in marketing
Ability to facilitate and support the work of team members
