Talent, Learning & Development Officer

Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the overall purpose this role will be responsible for manpower planning, employee on boarding process and the development of learning and development policies, strategies delivering mechanisms in line with company strategic objectives. The position works closely with the HR Business Partners to ensure delivery of relevant, timely and impactful trainings. Ensures that there is an agreed manpower plan for the organization.  Ensure delivery of structured training solutions to employees in the most effective manner, to maintain their competence and capacity development.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Manpower planning- Together with the HR Business Partners assess the need for talent in relation to the current and future business, including the need for specific competencies, knowledge and skills and experience to enable the business to achieve its strategic objectives. Develop, promote and implement the full range of workforce, succession planning and talent management strategies that will support the delivery of business requirements. Monitor and review workforce data in order to spot staffing risks and issues as well as opportunities for future improvement.
Recruitment- Effective roll out of HR policies and procedures in the area of recruitment. Ensure proper on boarding of new staff. Identification of current and future recruitment plans and support recruitment as appropriate to support the Hospital’s strategy.
Learning and development- Give strategic direction, on training and staff capacity development. Ensure that regular and comprehensive training needs assessment conducted for all employees. Coordinate external training programs and design internal training curriculums, programs and modules in line with identified training needs and strategic objectives of the company. Work with heads of department and HR Business Partners develop a staff training calendar on an annual basis.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.
5 years’ experience in a corporate staffing training, recruitment and manpower planning preferably in the Hospitality industry.
Has experience in Hospital Quality accreditation process i.e Safe Care, JCIA, ISO, amongst others.
Certified HR professional, registered member of IHRM
