Systems Administrator

About this Role

The administrator will be responsible for transactions in Kenya. We are looking for a competent and motivated individual who can work independently with limited direction to:

Set up, configure, and maintain the core servers and applications in the Tugende ecosystem.
To ensure proper user management across all systems with a special focus on data safety and integrity.
Perform system audits, and risk assessments, and identify and action areas of Improvement.
Support with product and feature rollout by drafting Release notes and ensuring readiness of training materials.
Technical support and also serve as the main point of contact for Tugende employees who are experiencing systems and computer-related issues.
Diagnose hardware and software faults and solve technical and application tickets, either over the phone, online, or in person.
Perform software testing, and manage releases of applications within the Tugende eco-system.

Cloud systems management
D365 – Configure workflows, dashboards, forms, manage users, views and build standard or custom reports
User Permission sets the configuration
Project management techniques
Helpdesk solutions, ticketing systems, and IT Administration Software
Knowledge of Virtual Communications Systems and remote support solutions
Virus Protection Software
Cyber Security and Diagnostics
Human-Centered Design
Application Installations
Risk analysis and treatment
IT Policies implementation and maintenance

Abilities

Ability to learn new business concepts and new technologies in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate high standards of interpersonal skills to work in teams
Experience working with a credit-related business will be an added advantage
Not afraid of learning new, market-demanded (and valued) technologies and products
Must possess a high level of professionalism and integrity
The ability to think logically
A good knowledge of how software and operating systems work
Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
D365 finance and operations
At least 3 years experience in systems administration and management
Understanding of IT principles and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively
Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
A strong sense of discretion and confidentiality is required
Adopt and champion the values that Tugende stands for
Help desk experience is an added advantage
