Job description
Tatu City seeks a dynamic and experienced Sustainability Manager to develop and lead our sustainability initiatives and Tatu City CSR pillars: Conservation, Community, Health and Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies that promote environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and sustainable business practices across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Formulate and oversee the execution of Tatu City’s sustainability and CSR strategies.
Identify and promote sustainable business practices across all departments.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance sustainability and CSR goals.
Maintain strong relationships with local communities and government agencies for substantial contributions in the larger community.
Manage and monitor the annual budget and multi-year budgeting strategies in line with sustainability and CSR plans.
Develop and manage programs to reduce the environmental impact of Tatu City’s operations.
Monitor environmental performance metrics and ensure compliance with local, national, and international sustainability standards and regulations.
Prepare and present sustainability and CSR reports to senior management and external stakeholders
Design and implement community development projects that align with Tatu City’s CSR objectives for conservation, community, health and education.
Promote a culture of sustainability within the organization through training programs that raise among internal and external stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
Hard skills and experience:
BSc in Environmental Sustainability, Social Sciences or a related field from a recognized university.
Master of Science in Environmental Governance is an added advantage
At least 10 years’ experience
Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing Charities, IPCs (Institutions of Public Character), sustainability and CSR best practices will be an advantage.
You have strong expertise in managing relationships, networks, and teams that include a diverse group of people. These include representatives of the public and private sectors, community-based organizations, nonprofits, and civic leaders as well as program beneficiaries.
Proven effectiveness in driving complex multi-stakeholder planning processes and cross-team projects to desired results.
