About the Role
Following a successful 12-months of service delivery in Nigeria, Field is expanding Shelf Life to Kenya and ultimately across East Africa. They are hiring a Supply Chain Officer to help run their Kenya operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a new team establishing and expanding the product in Kenya.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supply Chain Management
Supply & Demand Planning: This involves using Field’s suite of proprietary tools to manage forecasting, demand, and supply planning per client as well as coordinate orders to ensure optimum inventory allocation
Sourcing & Procurement: This entails coordinating competitive sourcing, ordering and requisition processes from a range of suppliers over various time horizons
Inventory Management: This involves overseeing the routine, campaign and inventory, ensuring implementation of Shelf Life’s quality assurance protocols. It also means coordinating top-up process for client stock outs, ensuring rapid delivery response to ensure clients never run out of vital drugs
Logistics Planning: This entails planning distribution runs and overseeing movement of goods to clients by ensuring adequate resources are available for deliveries
Data Management: Maintain inventory ledger with all incoming and outgoing movements of Shelf Life stock. This includes helping to build and maintain a database of prices and other key data
Client Management and Communications
Support the onboarding of new clients recruited to the service
Manage general client communications: transmission of invoices and delivery notes, client service information and feedback, ordering and service requests, payment prompts, advance service notifications, reminders and confirmations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Does This Sound Like You?
A first degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain Management, Economics, or Procurement) will be a plus
You have between 3 and 8 years of experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management
You have experience with basic finance
You enjoy details. Until everything is organized and documented, you aren’t happy
You are fluent in written and spoken English and Swahili
You are great at customer-service
You have excellent numerical skills
Analytical skills are a huge plus
Prior experience as Operations or Program support staff is desired
You are a team player
