The Supply Chain Executive will provide oversight and management of the company’s overall supply chain and logistics in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. This will include:
Collaboration with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
Deliver solutions to procurement and logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality service within budgetary requirements.
Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
Monitor import and export of cargo and report any discrepancies.
Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.
Serve as secretary in procurement committee.
Plan, manage and evaluate procurement and logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers.
Create and implement best practice procurement and logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
The person should have:
Bachelor’s degree in BCom/ Supply Chain or related field required;
7 years of experience in procurementExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and procurement systems/software
