Role Description
As a Structured Cabling Specialist at VPL, you will play a pivotal role in designing innovative solutions, promoting our esteemed brands, and fostering strong client relationships. Your expertise in structured cabling solutions will drive the success of our projects and contribute to the growth of our business in the competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and design tailored structured cabling solutions that align with their needs and budgetary constraints. Utilize your technical expertise to recommend optimal products and configurations for various projects.
Product Promotion: Act as a brand ambassador for VPL and its brands, effectively showcasing the advantages and features of our products to clients. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to highlight the value proposition of our offerings.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely manner. Serve as a trusted advisor, offering insights and recommendations to enhance their infrastructure and maximize efficiency.
Technical Support: Offer technical assistance and guidance to clients during the implementation and deployment of structured cabling solutions. Troubleshoot issues, provide troubleshooting support, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to identify new opportunities and market gaps. Analyze market data and customer feedback to refine our product offerings and sales strategies.
Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to develop customized proposals, quotations, and presentations for prospective clients. Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, and industry events to promote our solutions and expand our customer base.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, project specifications, and sales activities using CRM software. Generate reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress against targets and inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in structured cabling design, installation, and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and protocols (e.g., ANSI/TIA-568, IEEE 802.3).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings and schematics.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
