Store Manager – Retail

Key Responsibilities:
People Management:

Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews for store management.
Develop action plans to address performance issues.
Monitor and minimize staff absence to maximize productivity.
Foster an approachable communication culture.
Ensure proper staffing levels.
Promote development opportunities within the company.

Customers:

Implement a service culture and address issues from Mystery Shopper audits.
Maintain product range and planograms.
Maximize promotional availability and sales.
Ensure full shop availability for customers.
Staff personal service areas according to trading conditions.

Operations:

Adhere to operational processes as per the Store Operations Manual.
Implement Hygiene Management Action Plans.
Conduct daily store walks to identify and resolve issues.
Maintain fresh food quality and waste management processes.
Ensure price integrity across the store.
Inspect and maintain equipment regularly.
Complete and review store Log Books weekly, developing action plans as needed.

Financial:

Maximize sales and meet sales budgets.
Achieve promotional sales targets.
Control costs and payroll as a percentage of sales.
Achieve or exceed budgeted profit.
Control shrinkage within budget.

Requirements:

Degree in Business Management or related field.
2 years as Branch Stock Controller/Section Lead or 1 year in a similar position.
