POSITION REPORT TO:

DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs operation of the Steam Plant Systems. Operates steam boilers/demineralized systems and boiler auxiliary systems, hot water generators, water softener and ancillary equipment.
Operated at pressures not exceeding 15 pounds per square inch gage (psig) for steam, or at pressures not exceeding 160 (psig) and temperatures not exceeding 250 degrees Fahrenheit for water.
Performs adjustments, feeds treatment chemicals, collects boiler water samples, boiler blow downs, regenerates water softener and logs daily operational data. Checks condensates return lines, purges, and clean steam straps.
Ensure optimal and continuous operation of mechanical systems by performing routine inspections and maintenance, monitoring metering equipment and adjusting levels as necessary.
Maintain systems by scheduling regular inspections, cleanings, filter replacement and all other tasks necessary to keep all components performing optimally; identify and repair or replace malfunctioning components.
Perform other duties as assigned.

 BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures relating to Steam, Hot Water and Demineralized Water Systems.
Must speak, read, and understand English language.
Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
Must have a valid driver’s license with restriction code 2.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING

ASME QFO – Certification of High-Capacity Fossil Fuel Fired Plant (Boiler) Operators is preferred:

 Class A – Pulverized Fuel and Cyclone Furnaces
 Class B – Single burner oil, gas or combination fired plants
 Class C – Multiple burner oil, gas or combination fired plants
 Class D – Stoker fired plants
 Class E – Fluidized bed plants
 Class F – Auxiliary fired heat recovery steam generators.
EDUCATION:

Must be at least High school, Technical or Vocational School graduate.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in steam, hot water, demineralized water systems operations.

Basic terms of the job offer.

Assignment Duration: 12 months. Renewal subject to performance and project status.
Base Monthly Salary: 48 hours per week minimum work requirement: $612.00 (based on 48 hr. work week requirement)
Working schedule: 48 hours per week (8 hours per day/6 days a week)
Payroll period: Monthly. Amount give take home.
Overtime: Work more than 8 hours per day or work performed on a rest day and/or holiday,

will be paid as overtime at the base salary rate.

Accommodations: Housing, transportation, meals in-country, and laundry facilities are provided
Sick Leave: Employee will accrue 2.67 hours of sick leave for each full month of service, beginning with the completion of the first full month of Foreign Service employment.
Annual leave Up to 21 days paid at the end of each 12-month contract.
Travel will be provided by the employer to the employee’s home country.

Other requirements

Your Passport must be valid for at least 12 months, with at least 6 total blank visa pages remaining.
Your driver’s license must be valid for at least 6 months (unless processing for a CDL-required position, which will require 12 months remaining).
Updated covid vaccination certificate
