Under the supervision of the Head, Climate Finance Unit and working with the SFN Coordinator, the consultant will:
lead a consultation process and engagement with key stakeholders on SFN analysis, findings and policy recommendations to guide the additional research in a policy relevant direction and obtain government buy-in.
update and undertake additional research to further develop the draft State of Finance for Nature in Brazil report.
The consultant will report to the Head, Climate Finance Unit, Adaptation and Resilience Branch, Climate Change Division.
Qualifications/special skills
Should have a Masters’ Degree in natural resource management, international development, economics or finance.
At least seven (7) years of professional experience working on nature or climate analytics, strategic engagement and/or development, nature or climate finance.
Excellent networks including government, think tanks, NGOs and companies, as well as international organisations would be an asset.
Should be autonomous and computer literate in standard software applications; have excellent writing and communication skills; good analytical skills with experience in sustainable land use and green finance; have good interpersonal skills; can work independently to complete given assignments.
