About the Client:
Our client is in Manufacturing Sector seeking a Staff Van Driver responsible for transporting Staff to their destinations in a timely and safe manner and also help in performing other transportation functions of the organization.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure great customer service is delivered to all organization’s stakeholders
Build rapport with contacts at all distribution centers and delivery locations
Act as a professional representative of the organization during journeys and on delivery of goods
Deliver and unload goods in accordance with health and safety standards of the organization
Complete any administration required in relation to the collection/delivery of goods
Ensure that the organization’s full Code of Conduct is fully adhered to
Load and unload materials, goods, and equipment between various destinations as assigned
Maintains the transportation vehicle in a clean and orderly condition, and inspects and report mechanical defects of malfunctions
Performs special transports and maintains assigned vehicle, including keeping the vehicle clean and in good working order
Immediately report to manager or supervisor anything that occurs which may potentially jeopardize the ability to physically or legally operate a motor vehicle
Perform various pick up and delivery duties as well as other tasks as assigned by supervisor in support of daily activities
Safely transport employees to and from work zones, while adhering to state and local traffic laws
Ensure van is in safe operating condition at all times by scheduling regular maintenance
Maintain transportation logbook and other documentation associated with services provided
Keeping track of fuel usage
Performing other related duties as required
Key Qualifications
Overall experience of 5 years in the similar role
A business-related certification and bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
Valid Driver’s License is a MUST with continuous 3 years’ minimum driving experience
Knowledge and ability to follow traffic rules
Experience in Manufacturing is an added advantage
