About The RoleUber is looking for a Business Development Sr. Associate to join our Business Development Team in South Africa, covering the Sub-Saharan Africa Region as well as providing subject matter expertise on vehicle solutions and driver supply related deals.Successful candidates will bring a dynamic combination of IQ and EQ, an ability to think strategically and execute tactically, and strong interpersonal skills to maximize value in partnership negotiations and implementations. Someone who brings hustle in spades and isn’t afraid to manage multiple deals in a high-pressure, high-stakes environment. Essentially, a business athlete with ambition and drive, capable of building partnerships to support a variety of high-priority Uber initiatives.What You’ll Do
Lead and negotiate deals end-to-end (from due diligence to contract negotiations and post-deal management) with cross-functional input and aligned to business/product strategy
Manage our Vehicle Solutions program for the region, in close sync with the EMEA and SSA Central Ops team, which includes leading prioritisation, creating playbooks, and being the subject matter expert for financing, lease, rental, fleet and OEM partnerships for Uber
Envision new ways that strategic partnerships can positively impact the core business applying both creativity and business acumen
Evaluate strategic initiative and partnership opportunities across verticals
Pursue, evaluate, support negotiations and ensure execution of top business development opportunities in the region while working with key internal stakeholders
Review deal metrics and communicate impact to internal and external stakeholders
Prepare and give business reviews to Uber regional management team regarding progress in the business development space
Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of our company
Bring your analytical A-game. You’ll be building business models, performing analysis to understand trends, provide actionable insights, and track productivity and success of initiatives to ensure we’re driving toward the best possible outcome
What You’ll Need
A minimum of 4 years of experience with Business Development or Auto OEMs
