You will be responsible for driving savings and efficiencies through management of supplier base in East and West Africa and Lusophone Africa. You will collaborate with GE HealthCare Global Sourcing Leaders, GE HealthCare EMEA Category Leaders, Business Leaders and their teams and the SSA stakeholders across all Purchase Categories. Job Description
Responsibilities:
Partner with key business stakeholders to support the needs of the business.
Develop solutions and delivering on priorities for the designated scope.
Maintain metrics for sourcing scope and identifying new areas of opportunity to deliver or exceed targets.
Implement Indirect Sourcing strategy within the Regional Sourcing Leader’s agreed scope and in line with global and EMEA initiatives.
Lead full Request for Proposal process including spend analysis, Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotations (RFQ), quotes analysis, pricing and contract negotiations
Achieve Indirect savings and cash targets, leading, and running project execution across their supply base
Risk management in supplier base ensuring all compliance and quality standards are met.
Qualifications and Desired Characteristics:
Formal sourcing qualification / Engineering degree/ and /or relevant master’s degree
Solid commercial regional sourcing experience allowing a fast and autonomous ramp up phase.
Delivered savings, cash flow and deployed initiatives projects
Shown ability to lead and cooperate with virtual teams
Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time
At ease with IT based tools
Fluency in English, fluency in another language is a great advantage
Tenacious, strong negotiator and influencer, good communicator at all levels and across different cultures and functions.
Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments and targets
Proven experience and ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
Great stakeholder management – able to understand internal customers’ needs and CTQ’s and deliver them from the supplier base
Can work in a matrix and under pressure against deadlines Critical to Quality (CTQ’s) and deliver them from the supplier base
Able to balance priorities and pivot when necessary
Greenbelt or Black Belt certification preferred.
