Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Solutions Delivery Analyst for Visa’s East Africa markets, you will be part of the Visa Product organization based in Nairobi, Kenya, reporting to the Director of Products for East Africa. The position is designed to be entry-level to Visa and the payments industry, where the successful candidate will be immersed in the business and required to learn quickly.
You will be responsible for support and project management facilitation for the implementation of Visa’s product capabilities and solutions in the East Africa region.

Project Delivery

Drive execution of digital payment projects across East Africa, utilizing effective project management methodologies, execution skills and reporting
Actively participate in or manage various ad-hoc projects as assigned that will help achieve internal and external goals – examples may include product launches with clients, delivering local benefit platforms or driving market-wide programs for Visa
Work closely with your line manager, immediate team, and other cross-functional stakeholders as required to facilitate the implementation of projects and queries from internal and external partners
Develop and manage detailed project plans
Drive, manage, and track projects through each phase of the project lifecycle through to successful completion
Support internal and external partners during project requirements gathering and implementation phase, along with managing associated project documentation and status updates
Become a PM-level subject matter expert in the Visa services this role supports, and the high-level technology components that support those services.

Project Governance

Track the performance and delivery of client and partner projects to ensure business goals are met
Conduct relevant project meetings and publish updates, both internal and external, as required
Manage projects within agreed budgets and comply with internal finance processes
Engage with vendors according to Visa’s sourcing and operational policies and guidelines

Qualifications
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree in business, engineering, technology or equivalent, Masters degree advantageous but not a requirement
4+ years (with Bachelors degree) or 2+ years (with Masters degree) of experience, spanning retail banking, payments, digital/technology, or consulting
Project Management qualification(s) would be advantageous, but not a requirement
Proven track record of successful planning and execution in a fast-paced environment
Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple parties to deliver a business outcome
Proven ability to execute independently and operate successfully within a matrix/team environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a matrix organization, as well as vendors and clients
Strong analytical skills, problem solver
Self-directed and motivated, with an entrepreneurial spirit
Proficient user of all Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of Visa products, payments or international business are advantageous, but not minimum requirements
