The type of work you will be doing 

Technical account management 
Trusted technical advisor: Act as a trusted technical advisor to the sales and business development teams, providing technical expertise during the sales cycle, helping to qualify opportunities, and assisting with technical presentations and demonstrations. 
Customer relationships: Develop and maintain deep, trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders at assigned client accounts, including technical contacts, business leaders, and executives. 
Communications and collaboration: Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate closely with internal teams (engineering, product, sales) to ensure seamless solution delivery. 
Client satisfaction: Focus on ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. Identify and address any potential issues proactively. 
Solutions architecture 
Solutions design & development: Design and architect impactful solutions tailored to specific customer needs, leveraging our environmental data infrastructure, models, analytic workflows, and data science capabilities. 
Proof of concept creation: Develop and execute proof-of-concept projects that showcase the power and flexibility of our platform. This includes building models, developing analytical workflows, and demonstrating data science techniques. 
Business & client requirements: Understand and document client requirements and discuss with the business team in order to craft proposals and ensure the scope for service agreements are well understood and documented. 
Product knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of our platform’s capabilities, including data access methods, modeling tools, analytical libraries, and data visualization options. 
Technical expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in geospatial data science, AI, modeling, and related technologies. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our platform and solutions. 
Project management: Manage timelines, commitments, and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality execution. Maintain meticulous organization and documentation. 

What you will need 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field). 
Proven experience in a solutions architect, technical sales, and/or technical account management roles in enterprise software companies (AI, geospatial, data infrastructure preferred).  
Strong understanding of environmental data and related analytical techniques. 
Experience building and deploying models, developing analytical workflows, and performing data science tasks. 
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R). 
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. 
Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic. 
Empathy and a genuine desire to understand and address customer needs. 
Passion for impact in the Global South (Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America) and a desire to contribute to positive change. 
Experience with geospatial data and tools (e.g., Google Earth Engine, QGIS, PostGIS, other GIS software). 
Familiarity with specific environmental domains (e.g., climate change, air quality, water resources
