Solar Technical Engineer

Role Purpose:

This role will be responsible for supporting the design and development of renewable energy systems, analyzing and evaluating performance data, and managing system installation projects. The ideal candidate must possess a solid technical background in renewable energy systems and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and launch of new products to meet customer demands.
Manage renewable energy system installation projects, including project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of renewable energy projects.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and local authorities to ensure compliance with standard regulations.
Provide technical support and assistance to customers and sales teams, including preparation of technical specifications and providing installation and maintenance guidance.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime and ensure system availability and reliability.
Create technical documentations, such as user manuals, system specifications, and engineering drawings, to support product development, testing, and maintenance.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulations related to renewable energy systems.

Minimum Requirements: 

Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering
T1,T2 certification
ERPA registration
NCA registration
At least 2 years’ experience in solar industry
Able to perform project layouts and simulations as needed
Knowledgeable in Photovoltaic systems, Off-grid, On-grid, and Hybrid Solar systems
Familiar with renewable energy regulations in the assigned territory
