Job Description
Carry out site surveys for optimal design of solar systems
Install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain & repair solar energy systems, including inverters, Lithium batteries, hybrid systems & grid-tied systems.
Program & troubleshoot power storage battery packs, digital inverters & electronic controllers
Perform routine maintenance, inspections & performance monitoring of solar systems.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to solar installations both on site and remotely.
Ensure all solar equipment installations comply with industry standards & safety regulations.
Provide technical support & guidance to customers.
Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, & repairs.
Inspect & sign-off installations done by other technicians.
Keep abreast with emerging solar technologies & industry trends through continuous training
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a technician (or similar role) in solar technology installation, with emphasis on inverters & Lithium batteries
Holder of an EPRA T3 Solar PV Technician license.
Critical Competencies
Strong knowledge of, & experience in solar equipment, particularly inverters, Lithium batteries, grid tied systems & hybrid systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication & customer service skills.
Ability to manage projects, work independently & as part of a team.
