Soft Skills Trainer

Reports to: Product Manager – Soft Skills
Why We Are Hiring For This Role
We are looking to strengthen our students’ employability outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for re-designing, developing, and delivering the beta and gold soft skills programs. Training delivery and facilitation will account for approximately 70% of your workload.
What You Will Do
1) Training Delivery and Facilitation

Facilitate live weekly learning events, for example, coaching circles and study groups.
Provide academic support to students in the effort to help them accelerate their learning progress, catch up with their peers or meet learning objectives.
Monitor students’ engagement in our online learning platforms and implement appropriate strategies to boost learner engagement.
Grade students’ portfolios and give meaningful feedback on how they can improve.

2) Analyzing and Defining Learning Gap/Opportunity

Establish instructional goals, success metrics, and overall objectives.
Audience analysis: identify information regarding the learner such as the learning environment, preferences, demographics, and existing knowledge and skills.

3) Designing Learning Solutions

Set learning objectives, instructional methods and activities, storyboards, content, subject matter knowledge, lesson outlines, and media assets.

4) Developing or Curating Instructional Content

Curate instructional content, for example, diagnostic assessments, role plays, case studies, and performance support tools that align to the desired learning or behavioral outcome.

5) Evaluating Training Effectiveness and Impact

Measure the impact of the soft skills programs and communicate results to key stakeholders.

What You Have

At least 3 years experience in instructional design and delivery of soft skills programs.
Thorough knowledge of instructional design models and processes, for example, ADDIE, SAM, and Backward Design.
Comprehensive knowledge of methods and techniques for planning, designing, and developing instructional content.
Exemplary in facilitating live learning events in face-to-face and/or virtual environments.
Proficient in recognizing individual student learning needs and developing strategies to address those needs.
Proficient in using multiple student data elements to modify instruction and improve student learning.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in managing multiple projects and delivering results under prescribed deadlines.
