Social Worker

The Social Worker will play a pivotal role in supporting the functions of the Social Work Department. The role focuses on the recruitment of vulnerable children, management of beneficiaries and their families, case management, and routine reporting, including the submission of progress reports.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify and recruit vulnerable children in line with the recruitment criteria and policy.
Assist in the proper assessment, entry, and exit of beneficiaries.
Advocate for children’s rights by ensuring all staff understand and sign the safeguarding policy.
Prepare and submit accurate reports, including quarterly reports, beneficiary reports, advocacy reports, and safeguarding reports.
Identify and conduct risk assessments for children by promptly reaching out to affected beneficiaries.
Participate in child-at-risk meetings to support vulnerable children.
Open, maintain, and manage beneficiaries’ files.
Conduct regular home visits to monitor the welfare of beneficiaries.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

A Diploma in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with vulnerable populations and within diverse communities.
Experience in case management, child protection, and safeguarding will be an added advantage.
