Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) Expert Communications Assistant/Graphics Designer RTCQI Champion

Job Summary

CHS works in partnership with various stakeholders including the Ministry of Health’s National Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Lung Disease Program (NTLD-Program) towards implementation of TB care and control activities across the country. This is part of a US Government initiative against TB in Kenya that receives funding from USAID to implement the Kenya Tuberculosis Accelerated Response and Care II (TB ARC II) program.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief of Party, the incumbent shall be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design of an innovative, implementable and cost efficient TB social and behavior change communication strategy that addresses knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) gaps in TB risk perception and treatment completion.

REQUIREMENTS

Postgraduate degree or equivalent in behaviour and social science, communication, public health or related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, implementing and evaluating behavior change communication in health projects.
Demonstrated experience in improving health-seeking behaviours.
Demonstrated ability to support development and implementation of impactful SBCC approaches, such as campaigns, developing and testing of materials, conducting community engagement and activation activities.
Experience in human centred design and other user centred approaches strongly preferred.
Experience working on USAID funded projects preferred.
Experience working in Kenya preferred.
Demonstrable experience in the use of new and emerging information and communication technologies to reach audiences effectively and at scale.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Kiswahili and local languages.
