SME Portfolio Analyst

Responsibilities

Portfolio Monitoring & Maintenance: 

Monitor and ensure adherence to risk service standards.
Action all risk reports/extracts for SMEs. This will ensure all contracts unpaid and accounts in excess are maintained within parameters.
Monitor and control the quality of the portfolio using “Condition of Sanction” triggers where possible and in accordance with RM guidelines and Bank policy.
Manage “Early Warning List” customers to reduce risk, following H.O. and Regional guidance provided.
Adhere to procedures and guidelines within the BB RMCD.

Debt Collections: 

Contact customers in Arrears and Accounts in excess daily. Accounts between Day 1-90. 
Centrally send the relevant demand notices, with a copy to RM/UB/Cluster Manager, to the customers in arrears and accounts in excess from the reports extracted daily.
Review and approve lists for SMSs that will also be sent to the accounts in distress centrally.  
Be the joint liaison person between the Business team and C&R in ensuring that the downgrade of names to Recoveries is done on time and that customer files are received within 10 days of CCRS downgrade.

Sales Management: 

Proactively notify the RMs and customers on the trade limits about to expire and expired limits (STLs, ODs etc.)
Identify SME accounts that are incorrectly streamed and recommend restreaming to the current RM/UB for effective relationship management and portfolio monitoring.
Pro-actively manage the movement of turnover to us for all borrowing names – with monthly reports shared on clusters

Staff Management: 

The job holder will be required to have a detailed knowledge of the core set of Business Banking products.
For Complex products, good knowledge will be required sufficiently to: –

Recognize the changing needs of the customer.
Identify products/service that best satisfies a customer’s need.
Introduce the product/service.
Coordinate the introduction of the relevant Group product specialist.
Deal with customers directly as required.
Offer support as per business request.

Requirements

Business Degree
The job holder will be required to have a detailed knowledge of the core set of Business Banking products.

Must have good knowledge on:

Business Banking,
customer relationship management
Team management
