Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to oversee and manage construction activities on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves leadership, coordination, and proactive problem-solving to ensure smooth site operations.
This role may require travelling outside Kenya, the ideal candidate must be willing and able to travel as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Oversee all on-site activities and ensure alignment with project plans and schedules.
Monitor progress and resolve any issues or delays.
Team Coordination:
Manage site teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and laborers.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and safety briefings.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all work meets the required quality standards and project specifications.
Address and resolve any defects or non-compliance issues.
Resource Management:
Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment.
Monitor resource usage and minimize wastage.
Stakeholder Communication:
Liaise with clients, project managers, and consultants to provide updates and address concerns.
Report on project progress, costs, and any changes to the scope of work.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in site management or a similar role in the construction industry.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in reading workplans and drawings.
Knowledge of construction safety regulations and standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
