About The Role
As a Technical Facilitator, you will help the next generation of African technology leaders gain the skills to be globally employable software developers. You will be driving and facilitating learning for Andela Developers in key technologies, programming logic and team skills.
You would report to the Technical Program Lead and work with Software Development Learning Facilitators to set objectives, prioritise learning activities, implement learning and monitor execution.
The consultancy/contract would run for a period of 3 months which includes on-boarding, learner support and off-boarding at the end of the contract. The consultancy would be a full-time engagement for the 3 month period.
Responsibilities:
The Short-Term Technical Facilitator is responsible to:
Mentor teams of aspiring software developers
Run simulated software development team sprints
Deliver actionable feedback and support learners to improve based on your input
Track and measure skill development using Andela’s unique learning systems
Support successful advancement of learners over a 3 month period
Contribute to Andela’s Learning Program evolution by running high impact initiatives and providing quality feedback.
Qualifications:
Experience with one or more of the following:
Professional Software Development (ex: Web development in JS and/or Python)
Instructional Design in Computer Programming or Software
Relational/Business/People Skills Training
Mentorship or Coaching in Software Engineering/Development
EPIC Values Alignment
Demonstrable commitment to the learning & development of people and technology
The ability to learn new things fast enough to amaze your friends and family
